Chapter 1: Mistakes
"Who are you, anyway?" she asks, widening her dark brown eyes. "I-I. . ." I stuttered. What am I supposed to say? "Hi I'm Anthea and you're shagging my boyfriend"? That seems too straightforward if you ask me.
"Well?" she urged, raising her eyebrow. Who does this bitch thinks she is? "Anthea?'" his voice croaked from the kitchen "W-what are y-you doing h-here?" I turned around to look at him. He wasn't wearing a shirt, just his boxers. His hair was messy. Messier than usual.
I laughed heartlessly "You're asking me that, Nick? What about you, uh? Why are you kissing someone that's not me?" I asked, glaring at the brunette boy I used to love. "You know her?" her annoying high-pitched voice asked as I turned to look at her "He should I'm his ex-girlfriend. It's incredibly nice to meet you." I smiled in a very fake manner.
"E-ex?" he asked, his eyes widening. "Yes, ex. Now, I'm so sorry I disturbed you in any way. Continue what you were doing. I'll be back for my things tomorrow when you're at work." I tried to say without breaking and bursting into tears.
I turned on my heel and brushed past them swiftly. The tears started to come. I'm trying really hard to hold them in but once I reached the driver's seat of my old and worn-out car, I bursted into tears "Why?" I asked myself over and over again, my hands tight on the steering wheel, banging my head against it and not caring if it made loud noises.

"Anthea!" I heard a voice shout "Huh?" I asked, rubbing my eyes to look at my best friend, a look of worry on her face "What happened?" I asked, blinking rapidly "You were kicking and screaming in your sleep. It scared me." Alex said "Are you okay?" she asked "I'm fine," I sighed.
"Are you sure? Do you need a cup of tea or something?" Alex asked, shaking me by the shoulders "You're offering to make me food?" I smirked and she rolled her eyes. "Obviously. I'm hungry as well you know?" I chuckled and followed her across the room, out my bedroom door.
Alex led me to the kitchen. While she brought out a kettle for the tea, I brought out two mugs. Alex and I sat down on the kitchen stools, waiting for the water to heat up. "What time is it?" I asked and yawned "About 1:30." Alex glanced at the wall clock.
"Oh my. Sorry I woke you up." I smiled sheepishly. "It's fine." Alex shrugged, the kettle made a noise so Alex stood up and walked over to it. She lifted it from the stove and poured it into two cups and handed me one with a teabag already in it.
What had I done wrong? I thought, sipping my tea. Was it how I looked? Did I talk too much? Was I too loud?
What was my mistake?
"What's wrong with me?" I asked her. Alex looked at me confused but soon smiled warmly when the realization hit her "Anthea, you know very well that there is absolutely nothing wrong with you," she paused "If anything, he's the one that has a problem. He doesn't know what he's missing." Alex smirked, knowing very well what that meant.
"Oh yeah, dirtbag! OH SHE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT SHE'S MISSING!" we both screamed in unison, even if it was the middle of the night and we would probably wake up a police or something.
I forgot about everything in that moment. Because in that moment, I had a friend, ready to cheer me up no matter what it takes because she knows I'd do the same for her.
I had my best friend. And meeting her was something that I'd never regret.

GOOD AFTERNOON MY BITCHES!
(Well, in my country at least.)
It's Saturday and I had nothing to do (that's how much of a life I don't have.) so I decided to update for you guys. This update is courtesy of my mum's iPhone since the computer is currently occupied but it's no big.
So. . .I got votes. THANKS!!!
It means a lot to me, and I've already told you that.
But anyways, COMMENT AND VOTE PLEASE! :) Friendly reminder that I kinda think Teenage Dirtbag is the theme song for this but since it's Anthea and not Noel, you know, IDK. Anthea likes Keds and tube socks so I thought, hey why not?
Anyways, tell me what you guys think! More characters comin' your way just a reminder.
