Chapter 4: Geez, Girl

"Antheaaaa!" Alex exclaimed as I pulled her through the crowd. "Since when did you get so heavy?" I asked, dragging her to another store "Since I ate pizza." Alex said matter-of-factly as she rubbed her stomach to show satisfaction.

"Whatever." I grumbled, pushing open the glass door into a store called "Swing by at 9" (A/N: That's a store in It Girl, the game on Facebook XD) and pulled Alex inside with me.

"Anthea!" Alex whined "What?" I asked innocently, smiling at the black-haired nineteen year old. Alex glared at me "Twat." I knew she meant that jokingly so I just chuckled. I let go of her hand and wandered around the store, looking at various articles of clothing.

That is, until my blue eyes found the perfect ensemble.

It was a dress that seemed to come in mid-thigh. The upper part was made of white lace with what seemed to be a creme-coloured silk top underneath and the lower part was a black silk skirt with the same coloured tool.

All in all, the dress was absolutely stunning.

I reached for it and felt the soft material under my touch. "Anthea?" Alex creeped up from behind me and examined the dress I was holding "Woah. You should try that one on." Alex pushed me gently into one of the dressing cabins and once I got inside, I changed into the dress.

I looked at myself in the mirror, and for the first time in a long time, I felt beautiful. My curly blonde hair cascaded down to mid-back of my body, my blue eyes seemed more vivid when I wore this dress, due to the poor lighting of the room, my makeup seemed darker. My used-to-be light pink lips turned blood red in my imagination, dark eyeshadow complemented my eyes, eyelashes became longer and a beat red blush tickled my cheeks.

I imagined standing there, in the big arena, swaying softly to the music that blared from the speakers. The stage was a few inches away from my touch. "Geez girl, what's taking you so long?" Alex brought me back down to Earth as I sighed and opened up my eyes. I opened the door of the dressing cabin.

Alex's jaw hit the floor, almost literally "Anthea you look. . .amazing." Alex breathed out, smiling happily as I blushed "Thanks. You think I should get this one?" I turned around and examined myself in the mirror, straightening out the skirt.

I could see Alex's reflection through the mirror and she smiled "Anthea, I know you should get that one." I blushed again as Alex exaggerated the word 'know'. "Well then, I guess I'm getting this one." I smiled and closed the door of the dressing cabin, stripping off the dress and putting on my regular clothes.

I stepped out of the small dressing cabin and headed over to the cashier, but then I stopped with eyes wide when I spotted a beautiful flowy dress. It was coloured blue and the ends were ruffled elegantly, a thin black belt hung by the waist and did I mention it was a strapless number?

I turned around and faced Alex, a smug look on my face as she tapped her fingers on the side of her legs expectantly. "What?" She asked when her eyes landed on me. I pointed to the dress and she shook her head quickly. "Oh c'mon, Al. Why don't uou just live a little?" I giggled and gave her the dress, pushing her into the dressing cabin. "Anthea," I heard Alex sigh "I'm going to look like an elephant in this." I rolled my eyes and muttered a quick "No you won't." Before leaning my back on the door just to make sure she wouldn't escape.

Alex knocked on the door thrice, telling me that she was indeed wearing the dress. Without hesitation, I opened the door to reveal Alex looking absolutely beautiful than ever. I smiled "Told ya you would look pretty." I stated matter-of-factly as Alex sighed in defeat "Fine, you win. I'm getting the dress." Alex smiled and I smiled back.

Both of us headed for the cashier and paid for the dresses and got out of the store afterwards. Alex looked at me and smiled.

"Smoothies?"

I giggles and nodded immediately.

"Yes, please." I say sweetly as we both headed for the smoothie place.

HELLO MY LOVELIES!!!!

Guys, I am soooo sorry for not updating. It was only becase I was thinking very selfishly. I was like "These people aren't even commenting. I'm not going to update, just to give them a taste of their own medicine." I know, I know. It's very mean and I am sooo sorry.

It's just that you guys never comment and I just wanted to know what you guys thought. And it didn't help that I had this huge writer's block plus the exams are coming next week (it's Saturday, right?).
