It's almost the end of the school day, and Makenna's no where in sight, nor Jacy. The large crowds from the first dismissel bell have died down a while ago, and with the second dismissel bell about to ring any moment now, I don't want to get swallowed up by the stamped and not be able to find a way through to Makenna.

Fishing my phone out of my school bag, I take a seat down on a bench and turn on the phone. I scroll through my contacts until I land on Makenna.

Where are you??
I text her, hoping for a response right away.

I'm sorry, I got detention for horsing around in class. Twas not my fault! Marcus provoked me and I chased after him
~Makenna

I could only picture the defending face she was putting up at the moment.

Tell me the full story later!!

Knowing if Makenna's in detention for chasing after Marcus, he's probably also in detention right now. And who ever he's been catching rides with to school for the past few days, I won't be able to join him for a ride today.

My luck has almost ran out, as the second dismissel bell rings. I have yet to see Jacy. Swinging my legs, as I sit on the bench I scroll through my contacts until I find Jacy.

Where are you?

I text him, hoping to see him within the second. I'm due at a doctors appointment any moment now and a ride would be very nice right now.

Shit! I'm so sorry, but I can't drive you any where right now. I'm at study hall finishing up an exam I skipped out on. Looks like you'll have to find someone els. Sorry.
~Jacy

I read his text twice, just to make sure I've read it correctly.

"How am I to get to the appointment on time?" I mumble to myself, sighing. Every person that comes to mind is out of the answer. Makenna's bike she leaves at the school in case of emergencys. However, biking won't do much help, the clinic is way to far for my short legs to peddle. Yes, it's possible, but I'm to lazy.

Scrolling through my phone one last time to double check, making sure I haven't missed a possible driver. My eyes land on Kale. I know I've only met him once, and he's a total stranger, but strangers are just friends waiting to happen. I smile silly as I open his contact into message.

Hey its Athena here. If it's not impossible, would you be able to pick me up pronto? I have a doctors appointment in less than 5 minutes!!

I cross my fingers hoping for a yes answer.

Sure thing. You at your high school? I'll be there in less than a minute, wait in the student parking lot for me.
~Kale

I smile widely at his response. Looks like I won't be stranded after all. I sling the straps from my school bag further up my shoulder, as I get off the bench and begin to head my way out of the school towards the student parking lot.

I open the door to the sound of rain droplets splashing onto the ground. The rainstorm from this morning sadly didn't die down, instead it picked up its speed and began to make large puddles flood the road.

I stood out in the rain, my bag hovering over my head, trying to protect me from the rain. In a swift fast motion, Kale's jacked up black truck swerved into the student parking lot. I began walking towards his truck, dodging the large puddles on the ground. I spot a large deep  puddle a few feet away from me. In the thought of moving far away from the puddle just incase, the truck splashes through the puddle stopping in front of me. The muddy water had splashed up into the air, flying at my way. The cold rain water soaked my clothes all the way through. My jeans stuck to my legs like another layer of skin.
