I cracked my beer can open, taking a sip. I don't usually drink, but occasionally I'll have a beer or two. Kale stood beside me, leaning against another fake palm tree. At the moment we are looking up into the night sky, and trying to create something magical with the stars.

"Star constellations are truly something." Kale speaks quietly.

"Athenaaaaaaa!" A loud Makenna calls, stretching out my name. She rushed outside to the patio. Her eyes scared fearsly with panic.

"That's my call." I say, standing up straight from my leaning position against the tree.

"Wait. At least give me your number before you leave." Kale said, stopping me in my tracks.

"Okay." I say, as we swap phones. I put in my name and number under his contacts as does the same. "Here." I hand back his phone as he hands me back mine.

"There you are Athena." Makenna stops her shouting as she spots me out.

"Bye." I hear Kale say behind me. I turn my head giving him a bright smile before walking away with Makenna.

"Who was that?" She asks curiously like a two year old asking her mommy who was on the phone.

"His name is Kale. We kinda just met." I inform her, she nods in reply.
"Now what's all the commotion about?" I ask.

"Marcus has passed the limits for being drunk, there's not even a word to explain how drunk he is right now!" She says, her arms flying about as she explains.

"You both are going to have killer hangovers tomorrow." I tease, almost laughing.

"Oh shut up!" She slaps my shoulder lightly. Underneath her frown hides a bright smile. Something happened between her and Marcus these past hours, and I yet to find out.

We find Marcus staggering outside on the lawn with a whisky bottle in hand. Both Marcus and Makenna would probably end up staying the night at my place. Knowing Marcus's parents, they would surely flip out at the sight of him. Makenna's parents not so much, until they discover the killer hangover she'll be battling tomorrow.

"Why is he holding that?" I ask, rushing to his side.

"He wouldn't let go of it when I led him out here." She explained, following behind me.

"Let's play carpenter." Marcus slurred.

"What on earth is he talking about?" I ask myself, shaking my head.

"I'll be the hammer and Makenna can be the nail." He finishes. Automatically I burst out laughing at his words. Marcus will be wishing the ground will open up and swallow him hole when he hears about this tomorrow!

Makenna's face stings a bright red, as she covers her face with her hands. There's no telling what will go on with these two.

"Makenna help me here. We need to get him in my jeep pronto! " I say, calling her over.

By the time we reached my jeep, Marcus was already out. His little snores resembled a baby. Somehow we managed to get him in the back seat without disturbing his slumber.

"How are you supposed to pull out of here without damaging your jeep, that black truck or the rusting car behind us?" Makenna asks.

"Shit!" My voice stings mad but tired. I breath deeply, looking around for other options. Who ever owns the dinky rusting car parked behind us, was obviously drunk driving here! The front of the car is not even a foot away from my tail.
"Do you by any chance know who may own one of these vehicles?" I ask desperately.
