"Ray, get your tosh down here now!" The loud scream of a woman blasted throughout the house.

"Coming." I answer back. Leaving the comfortable spot on my bed and the tasty chocolates behind, I rush down stairs to my mother's aid.

I salute, giving her a sheepish grin. Her hands steadily placed on her hips, as she sighs shaking her head.

"What am I ever to do with you?" She asks her self, sighing to herself.
"Where is the Jeep?" She asks, giving me a blunt look.

"About that..." I start.  "It broke down again on me, and a friend of mine offered to fix it."

"How are we supposed to get around for the time being?" She asks, mumbling.
"Do we still have that bike?" She asks.

"Yes. It's somewhere in the garage."

She runs her fingers through her hair, moving strands away from her face, revealing her stressed face. She walks off to the doorway, slipping on a pair of shoes. I take the time to sneak over to the cupboards and dig around for some sweets.

I was born with quite a few sweet tooths. Always craving chocolatey, surgery, sweet candies.

I snag a box of double fudge oreos and a few lolly pops before heding back to my room.

My phone goes off, buzzing in my back pocket. I set down the snacks before fishing my phone out of my pocket. Swiping on my phone, I'm notified I have received a text from Jacy. Curiouse runs through my veins.  What could he possibly want to talk to me about? The car rides?

I'll be at your place by 8:00 :)
~Jacy

Okay. But why so early?

Will need the time to pick up breakfast as well as the guys.
~Jacy

Btw would it be possible for Makenna to join us? Without my jeep she has no way of getting to school, and the bus isn't a good thing for her!

Makenna? Definitely yes!
~Jacy

A smile appears on my face. Could it be wrong to think Jacy might actually be sweet?

*************

I rush around my room, searching for socks. My clock read 7:50 am.  Jacy will be arriving any minute now, and I'm not even close to be ready for the day. I managed to pull up a decent outfit half asleep. A pair of jeans and a black long sleeved crop top. My life saver!

"Come on! I need one of you socks to have a matching pair." I mumble to my self. One plain white sock, a rainbow striped sock, a blue one, green, pink polka-dot, I could go on forever! Yet I can't find a matching pair. Browser must have got at my socks, tearing some apart, and mom not telling me a word. Sock shopping will have to wait for another day. I slip on a dark blue and purple sock. Not a match, but close in colour.

"Athena Ray! You have a visitor!" The pitch calls ring into my ears. My mom isn't a morning person, and to be woken up by the constantly ringing doorbell made her a cranky woman.

"I'll be down in a minute." I call back.

"You better!"

I laugh to my self, picturing her in her silk nightgown storming to the door to give a talk to the person at the door. And the scared look Jacy would be trying to hide on his face.

Grabbing my phone and wallet I set them down in my bag, before shutting off my lights and rushing down stairs. I manage to slip on the wooden stairs, tumbling my way down, hitting my nose on the cold floor.
