Chapter 12 A Glimpse Of Love

The sky has a swirl of dark and light blue to it. My sneakers step onto the clean cut grass on the field, somehow I managed to get myself tangled up with the cheerleaders, thanks to Sean and Jacy.

"Whats your business for being here?" Sasha growled, looking at my outfit. Thanks to Sean, I have a cheerleading outfit, he had said one of the many girls he's invited over to bed left the outfit at his place, so he lended it to me.  Sadly, I had to wash the danm thing five times just to get the perfume stench out.

"She's joining the team just for a little while." Jacy says, walking up.

"And who said so?" She spat.

"I do." Principle Chen said, as he walked up with Jacy. "This will be a good opertunity for Athena."

"Ugh, what ever." Sasha rolls her eyes, flipping her hair over her shoulder as she walks away.

"We'll be watching." Jacy winks, as he walks back over to the football team, they give me a thumbs up, only putting a damper to my spirits. Great they'll be watching. 

I spot the short blonde chubby girl, that got me into this mess, wearing her uniform standing by herself. I approach her with a smile.

"Hi, I don't think I got your name." I say.

"Cruz. Cruz poper." She introduced herself. Her name is so exotic, yet intreasting in an exotic way.

"Athena, if you don't remember." 

After basic stretches and a lap around the track for a warmup, Sasha the senior head cheerleader started the drills. I tried to keep up my pace, following Sasha's steps in suit, but after the jumping and simple dance steps it began to get harder. In groups of tthre, you had to complete a stable ptramid. Cruz couldn't hold up the weight of a fellow cheer leader, causing our pyramid to collapse.

This is harder than I thought, and Sasha's deathly ways are a beating of their own.

My phone goes off, the screen showing 8 new messages from Marcus. 

Why?

I texted you like hours ago!
~Marcus

A minute ago doesn't count as hours ago
~Me

After you told me how blind I was for not seeing the feelings Makenna has for me. And well I acknowledged them. She's happy, and I'm not complaining, stop worrying!
~Marcus

Your going to hurt her!
~Me

No! Your going to hurt her by making such a big deal out of this, and cause a disaster
~Marcus

Just dont use her to kill the pain
~Me

You really are self-centered! You really think I was so hurt by your rejection and know am going to use Makenna just to cover up the feelings I had for you?
