I was suited in the cheer uniform, fiddling with my fingers in the girls change room. The game is about to start, and I'm scared! I still can't belive that I'm here, like on the cheer squad even if I'm suited up in a big feathery falcon costume. Its almost every girls whish to be on the cheer squad. But it was never mine, and some how I ended up on the team.

"Let's go girls!" Sasha shouts, marching the team out. As we all pass through the door each girl grabs her pompoms. I on the other hand, wobble my way out, trying to balance the weight on eathir side of my costume. Who new this would be so heavy!

A loud roar comes from the crowd as each cheerleader does a trick onto the field. I never showed up for the rehearsal, but I know from my source that after the cheer squad goes out the marching band will come out, and then the football team. Yay, school spirit...

"Don't just stand there. Your not a pigeon, your supposed to be a falcon!" Sasha shouted at me, her furry not bothering me a bit.

"How am I even supposed to move in this thing?" I ask, whining a tad bit.

Before I joined the team, I watched each game from the bleachers with Makenna and Marcus. Thinking back to the games, I don't recall a cheerleader playing the schools mascot, there was someone else dressed up in the costume. Someone more masculine.

"Hey!" Someone shouted from the locker doors where we had come out.

I swat my head around, seeing a head poking out.

"What the hell are you doing in my costume?!" He asked, shouting again.

Thats right, Olive was always the one dressed up in the costume. He was the schools mascot! But why did Sasha get me to dress up as the mascot?

"We had to replace you for todays game." Sasha answered him, walking over to the locker doors with a strut. I followed behind her, stumbling. Before I knew it, I tripped myself with the big mascot bird feet, causing a commotion. I fell to the ground. When I tried to get up, it was as if a thousand pounds were holding me down.

"A little help please?" I wave my hand, but Sasha simply laughs and excuse my fall.

"See! She can't even walk in the costume." Olive shouts at Sasha, who gives him a nasty snarl.

Olive walks my way, reaching his hand down to me. I couldn't get my hand to grab onto his because the stupid bird feathers on my hands were blocking the way.
Instead, he got down, put his hands at my sides and lifted me up.

I was so shocked at his strength. Who knew a nerdy guy actually worked out?! I always belived he just focused on school work, but here he just lifted me and the heavy costume I'm in!

"Thank you." I mumble to him.

"Now, can you please get back into your cheering outfit, and let me cheer also, but in my falcon costume." He stated, not asking.

"Of course." I reply.

"Maybe after you get out of the costume, you can go back to sitting on the bleachers. I'm sure you would rather do that." Sasha twirled her finger in my face.

No, I can't do that. I have to go out there, cheer on the football team, all for Cruz.

"Like hell I'm going to do that!" I answer, more rudely then I intended to.

"Excuse me?" Her nostrils were flared as she glared at me.

"You heard me, I ain't going back to the bleachers." I repeat myself. "See you out on the field."

After changing out of the falcon costume, and changing into the cheercostume, I gave back Olive the costume, which he slipped on and ran out onto the field chanting out schools cheer. I too, began running out on the field to where the rest of the cheer team was.
