If You Ever Come Back

Chapter 9

I was seated at the couch, watching The Voice when the doorbell rang. I got up, fixed myself and opened the door.

As I open the door, a figure of a very handsome guy surprised me.

Clark was wearing a grey v neck, pants, and his chuck taylor. Seems like cupid wanted us to wear the same get up for our date.

My mouth was literally in a 'O' shape.

Clark cleared his throat which caused me to snap back in to reality.

"Hi there.. You look, handsome tonight." I complimented him.

He smiled a very warm smile.

"Of course I have to look nice because tonight, I'll be with a very gorgeous lady. If I didn't dress well people might think that I'm your driver."

Then he chuckled. I blushed at his remark.

He called me 'gorgeous'

We heard someone cleared her throat. We both turned to mom.

"Good morning Mrs. Petrova."

"Hello handsome. So, are you Clark!"

Then Clark nodded.

"Aww. Look at your dress. You looked like you planned what to wear." Mom chuckled.

The two of us blushed.

"Well, please take care of my daughter and be sure to get her home at nine okay?"

Clark nodded.

Before we left, I gave mom a quick peck.

With that, Clark escorted me outside.

I fastened the seatbelt. I was beside the driver's seat.

"So where are we going?"

"Surprise! We're going to a very special place." Then Clark winked.

That made me blush and Clark saw It. How embarrassing!

"You know what, you look cute when you blush."

He's statement made the shade of my cheeks go redder.

Silence engulfed the atmosphere inside the car.

Clark played Little Thing by One Direction.

"You like 1D?" I raised an eyebrow. All straight guys hate 1D. They always find their songs gay.

"Not much. My little sister used to sing me that song."

"Oh. I see.."

Well, back then I was used to sing Sky that song.. Ouch. Here we go again. I set aside my thoughts.

He tapped the stirring wheel with the beat of the song. I started singing.

"Your hand fits in mine like it's made just for me. But bare this in mind It was meant to be.."

"Your voice sounds so angelic. I didn't knew you were good at singing.."

"Thank. I know how to sing but I'm not that good."

"No, you are. It's perfect."

That made me blush again.

We finished the song together.

The car finally stopped. Clark parked the car to the parking lot.
