~Cole~
I could feel Jeremy and Alyssa sending me sideways glances, smirking in the way people always do when they are up to something. Ooh, they were definitely up to something. I can feel it.
“You know what? I’m really bushed, I’ll go to sleep. You guys go have fun.” I faked a yawn, stretching my body animatedly, to give them the impression that I was really sleepy.
Jeremy and Alyssa gave each other a quick glimpse, and I got a feeling they saw right through my lie.
“Oh, no you don’t, Cole.” Alyssa sneered as they advanced closer to me.
“Um, I’m serious. Totally serious. I mean, take a look at my serious face. It’s really serious, and sleepy. C’mon spell it with me, S-E-R-I-O-U-S. Yep. Serious face here!” I swatted them off like a fly as I uttered rubbish. Gosh Cole, why did you have to make a fool of yourself whenever these situations come up? You’re usually so cool Cole, what’s come over you?
Jeremy pulled out a rope from his back pocket. Ooh, those sinister people. They’ve even got a backup plan. What do they want from me? They approached closer and closer, a menacing smile playing on their faces.
“D...Don’t come closer guys!” I backed away, stumbling on my steps.
Jeremy pounced onto me, and Alyssa struggled with my flailing arms and legs. I struggled like a hamster in a hot pot of coffee, only…you know, I wasn’t a hamster, and I wasn’t drowning in a hot pot of coffee, just…stuck in a sticky situation. Whatever those guys are trying to get out from me, I won’t tell, my lips…are sealed.
They tied me to a chair, and shone a bright torchlight at me, making me squint my eyes. Don’t they know it’s rude to shine a torch into someone’s eyes directly? They could make me blind!
“So…” Alyssa licked her lips, looking like a predator waiting to devour onto her prey. And I was that prey.
“How is this Truth or Dare?” I glared at them with bulging eyes.
“We’re sorry, if you would have co-operated, you wouldn’t be tied up too.” Jeremy shrugged his shoulders, giving me a creepy smile.
“What do you want from me?” I hissed through my gritted teeth.
Why did I get a sense of déjà vu? It was as if… I was in one of those cliché movies where the criminal was being investigated by the detectives. Dammit, I shouldn’t have agreed to this stupid sleepover. There must be some weird ploy in it.
“Whatever it is, I will never tell you!” I clenched my fist, trying my best not to show my fright. Wait a minute, Cole Evans, was scared?
“Oh, really?” Jeremy leered.
“If you won’t tell, I’ll…” Alyssa paused, probably pondering over what she was going to threaten me with. “I’ll…” She pulled out her stockings. “I’ll pull this over your face, take a photo of your squished up contorted face, and send it to every single person in the school.” A malicious smile flickered across her face.
“You wouldn’t dare.”
“Try me.”
I wouldn’t want to risk falling from the social ladder just because of their sick little game of Truth or Dare. Anyway, what’s the worse they could ask me? And they wouldn’t reveal this to anyone…right?
“Fine, you sick little puppies.” I cursed under my breath.
“So…let’s start.” Alyssa’s gaze flickered to me. “Do you like her?” She nodded her head in the direction of where Isabella was. Isabella was still completely knocked out, her mouth wide open, a little drool at the corner of her mouth, but she still looked cute.
