The Baker's Assistant | Adrienette

The aroma of fresh-baked pastries instantly enveloped the green-eyed blonde's nostrils as he slowly pulled the hot tray out of the oven with a cheshire smile plastered on his face. With the use of his red and black polkadot-designed oven mitts, he carefully plopped the pastry-filled tray on the counter top—his wide smile never leaving his flour stained face.

He dramatically inhaled the scent of the pastries once again, closing his eyes in the process, he mumbled. "Mhmm, smells delicious indeed!"

To his dismay, his little 'pastry appreciation' moment was cut shortly after a voice boomed across the kitchen that caused him to flutter his eyelids open in shock. Mr. Cheng smiled happily when his eyes landed to the baked pastries on the counter top, and with a cheerful expression he exclaimed, "Ah, wonderful! The pastries are finally ready! I need them to be served right away. Uh, Adrien, could you please bring it to the bakery?"

Adrien blinked for a few times, before nodding with an uneasy smile on his face, "S-Sure, Mr. Cheng."

Mr. Cheng just nodded in response and scurried his way to the living room, as what Adrien figured though. He shrugged it off, picking up the hot tray before heading his way to the Cheng's bakery, Boulangerie Patisserie.

He let out a long sigh as he muttered, "Today is going to be a long day."

A few hours have passed and before he knew it, Adrien's shift was finally over. It was a very tiring day for him because they approximately handled two hundred frantic customers, which eventually gave pressure to Tom and Sabine, especially to the baker's assistant, Adrien Agreste. His arms were in great pain due to the left and right non-stop duties, but he did not mind though.

Adrien just wants her to notice him again that is why he is doing all of these which was quite ironic since he is Adrien Agreste: a famous model and the son of a well-known fashion designer, Gabriel Agreste. He was not supposed to be working as a baker's assistant since it is against his father's law, but he disobeyed him nonetheless.

Adrien swore to himself that he would do anything for her.

He would do everything to win her heart back, even if it will cost him years to be successful.

Adrien sighed quietly as he roughly wiped the counter with a clean white towel, trying to remove the food stains attached to it. He bit his lip in pure annoyance because the stain still won't disappear no matter how hard he tried. Adrien repeatedly rubbed the towel back and forth, but the stains were still evident.

"But, Mama and Papa! It is only ten o'clock in the evening for pete's sake! Plus, Kim and I are just going to the movie theater—it is not like we are going to get drunk or something, right?"

He stopped dead in his tracks when he heard her yelling from the living room. Adrien immediately folded the towel, before tranquilly making his way to the door leading to the Cheng's living room to eavesdrop. He peeked through the small opening of the door just to see an aggravated Marinette.

Her father, Tom, just ticked his tongue exasperatedly—obviously tired arguing with his daughter. "Marinette, do not pete's sake me if you do not want to be grounded for three months!" he let out a loud sigh. "Your mother and I just want you to be safe—not that we don't trust Kim or what —but I hope you get what we mean."

But the truth is, they do not actually trust Kim at all. Not even the slightest bit. Kim is known as the heartbreaker type of guy, and as far as they know Kim is not really serious when it comes to relationships.
