Jealousy with a Pinch of Insecurness | Adrienette

The students of Collège Françoise Dupont, specifically Miss Caline Bustier's class, decided to go island-hopping around the North Sea as their summer getaway with the most luxurious private yacht that the Mayor of Paris could provide for them as their transportation and also because that was an order from the Mayor's spoiled daughter, Chloé Bourgeois.

Presently, the whole class was gathered at the front deck of the yacht to discuss about some necessary information like the agenda for the day, their cabin partners, and whatnot. As they did so, however, two childhood friends were huddled at one corner of the deck, completely isolated from the group. The son and daughter of two well-known fathers were busy talking about business, or their upcoming photo shoot to be precise.

Surprisingly, Chloé Bourgeois looked really serious and dignified while she was talking to her former crush, Adrien Agreste—like she was a complete new person all of a sudden. The Mayor's daughter finally set her boundaries to certain people, like to Adrien who is already in a relationship with a possessive bluenette.

The two are not even showing any slight of affection to one another, but that did not stop the aggravated bluenette to watch them from a distance, eyeing the honey blonde-haired brat carefully with her arms crossed to her chest—ready to strangle her to death if ever she tries stealing her boyfriend from her.

Possessive, indeed.

Marinette did not bother to listen to Miss Bustier's reminders, since she was too busy gazing at the two with a glare on her face, her nose scrunched and her toes curled in jealousy. Her brunette best friend, Alya Césaire, noticed the weird behavior of the bluenette that it caused her to drop her attention from the exasperated teacher in front of them and to glance at her with her eyebrow raised.

"You know that Adrien only has his eyes for you, right?" sighed the brunette, shaking her head before landing her golden eyes at Chloe and Adrien's direction.

Alya averted her eyes to Marinette once again, "Plus, I reckon that Chloe stopped liking him months ago since you guys started dating, which was, by the way, with the help of Nino and I for the both of you just blush like tomatoes and stutter like there was no tomorrow."

The bluenette giggled at her sarcastic remark, before an exasperated sigh escaped from her cherry lips. Her bluebell eyes flicked to her direction, "I mean, yeah, you can say that his eyes are only for me but..." she paused as her voice softens. "what if he soon realizes that I am just one ordinary petite girl that has a weird hair color, odd bluebell eyes, and a total klutz that ruins everything? What if he realizes that his childhood friend, Chloe, is better than me, Alya?"

No, she was not completely jealous. She was insecure

The brunette slowly opened her mouth to demur, but a hand stopped her from doing so. Alya looked at the person behind her best friend's back, her golden eyes showing a glint of happiness as she subtly nodded her head at him. She flicked her eyes back to Marinette before flashing a smile, slowly backing away from her as she completely blended in with the crowd ahead of them.

Marinette blinked in confusion, "What did just happen?"

"Yeah, what did just happen?" a familiar voice made her jolt forward in surprise.

The bluenette swiftly turned her back to face the smirking blonde with her mouth agape in the process. Marinette quickly masked her shock by breathing out an enthusiastic smile, "H-hey, A-Adrien!"

"We need to talk, my lady," the green-eyed blonde mumbled softly as he suppressed a grin. Without waiting for her reply, Adrien gently grabbed her hand and dragged her to a secluded area of the luxury yacht. Straight after, Marinette quickly jerked her hand from his grasp with a confused expression on her face.

"What are we doing here?" she queried while her bluebell eyes eyed him intently.

"You were jealous of Chloe, were you not?" he straightforwardly asked as he stared back while grinning widely at the flustered bluenette.

Marinette looked at him with fake disbelief, before scoffing at the blonde, "W-What are you talking about, Adrien? I mean, w-why would I be jealous of that brat?" she finished as she crossed her arms.

He chuckled at her, shaking his head. Adrien took a small step closer to her, slowly entwining his hands to hers as he did so. His mouth leisurely reached down to her ear as he breathed out a smirk, "My eyes are fixed on you and only you, Marinette Dupain-Cheng."

Adrien leaned more, pecking her earlobe and added, "And, you look hot when you are jealous, princess."
