Everything's Alright | Adrienette
Dark and gloomy clouds engulfed the bright blue sky as raindrops slowly poured down like tears of a human being. The dreary weather gave a melancholy feeling to the atmosphere, almost washing out the happiness of the newly-graduated students of Collège Françoise Dupont.
Nevertheless, they still managed to end the graduation ceremony with smiles plastered on their faces.
And, also despite the fact that they just recently lose a friend that everyone loved dearly.
As per usual, the graduation ceremony started formally-the roll call of the future graduates, the handing of graduation certificates, the announcing of the honor roll students, and the singing of two farewell songs to conclude the whole program.
Of course, in every graduation program, a handful of priceless pictures were also taken by hired professional photographers, proud and happy parents, and even the school's cliques that were there for each other throughout the whole school year.
A bright camera flash brought the absentminded blonde back to his senses as he stopped gazing into space-his green eyes immediately trailing up to the person standing in front of him.
He blinked for a few times, before smiling sheepishly, "Hey, Nino."
"Congrats, dude! You are a part of the honor roll!" his beaming best friend exclaimed, looping an arm to his shoulder as they chuckle in unison.
"Thanks," Adrien breathed out a small smile, before slowly removing Nino's arm to look at him properly. "I would not be a part of it if it were not for her."
The happy smile on Nino's face faded completely, and it was soon replaced with a sympathetic smile. He sighed sadly, before patting his best friend's back. "I am sure she is very proud of you, Adrien."
Adrien nodded, smiling sadly, "I hope so."
After exchanging a few words to one another and snapping photos together on their phones, the dark brown-haired boy already left the school campus to celebrate with his whole family, and also to avoid the heavy downpour of rain that is about to pour down any minute from now.
As if on cue, heavy raindrops started to fall down from the dark sky, eventually leaving the other students and families stranded in Collège Françoise Dupont for a while to let the rain die down in order to leave the school without getting their clothes wet.
However, Adrien did not really care about the mere fact that his graduation coat will be soaking wet if he walks out of his school with just a black umbrella as his protection to the heavy rain.
In truth, all he could think about at the very moment was her.
Gladly, he bravely sprinted out of the school grounds, his shoes occasionally stepping into puddles of rain as he continued to make his way to the busy streets of Paris.
Eventually, the exhausted blonde reached her tranquil place with a bouquet of fresh orchids on his left hand together with his graduation scroll. The corners of his mouth slowly curves into a small smile as he gazed at the peaceful sight in front of him.
Some of his schoolmates were there too, probably dedicating their graduation scrolls to their loved ones. Adrien slowly made his way to where she was located, which was not really that far from the entrance gates. As soon as he spotted her, the corner of his eyelids started to get watery.
He gently laid down the orchids beside her tomb before completely sitting on the wet grass while holding the black umbrella he lent to her before when they first met each other.
"Hey princess," he tenderly caressed her name that was engraved on her tomb. Adrien smiled sadly, "how are you up there with the angels? I hope you are having a great time."
He chuckled softly, his vision getting blurry due to his tears, "I finally graduated from high school, and I was surprisingly one of the top students in our class! Thanks to you, M-Mari." his voice cracks, as hot tears started to fall down to his cheeks.
"I miss you, Marinette," he choked out weakly. "I miss everything about you-your beautiful bluebell eyes that I loved the most, your smile and your precious laugh that drives all my worries away, your voice that makes me insane at some times, b-but I still love you for that."
Adrien paused as he sobbed quietly, reminiscing the happy memories that they both shared-that he wished he could relive it all once again.
"I hope that you are happy right now, princess," he smiled warmly.
"Kitty?"
