You Can Never Take Them Back | Adrienette
This is my first time writing a story using the first person point of view. In my perspective, I think that writing in first person would make the reader feel more the emotions of the characters, or at least understand what the characters are really trying to say. I don't really know, but I hope you'll like this story nevertheless! :)

I wish you can take back the words that you have said. Maybe in that way, you can prevent things from happening, especially if it is not in your liking.
Maybe, you can prevent yourself from getting hurt with the outcome that was caused by your actions in the first place.
Maybe, just maybe, everything would have turned out differently if I had not concealed my feelings too much.
"Marinette Dupain-Cheng, are you even listening to me?"
Slowly, I partly opened my eyes to adjust with the blinding light of the sun that was shining brightly in the blue sky as if it was spreading positivity and happiness to the people underneath it. Once I was done, cerulean blue collided with emerald green.
"Nope, what were you saying again?" I replied idly, and shifted myself into a sitting position with my legs stretched out on the fresh grass of spring. I leaned comfortably on the bark of the tree behind us and smiled at him, "Sorry, the weather really made me feel sleepy due to the solace it brought to my body."
Adrien playfully rolled his eyes with a cute smile on his face, "Or maybe because you are just naturally a sleepyhead that wherever you go, you tend to fall asleep without you even knowing."
I giggled softly, agreeing with his remark regarding my sleepyhead issues, "I guess you are right, but hey, sleeping is good for you; it helps you forget your problems, or life in general."
"Wow, the internet is really helpful to you, huh? You discover a lot of quotes that are being said by masses from time to time, and are sometimes used during times like these where people talk about a topic that is actually being talked about by many, like sleep for instance," he said, and it was my turn to roll my eyes at him for being intellectual.
"Okay, whatever, Agreste," I subsided the topic and brought up the previous one that was interrupted earlier due to my accidental nap, "what were you talking about before I fell asleep?"
His laugh resonated in my ears as he averted his eyes to the beautiful scenery below us, where the grass and the fresh daises swayed peacefully with the wind while white butterflies hovered over them. He smiled at the beholding sight, "It is nothing necessary, honestly. I was a bit relieved that you fell asleep, sleepyhead."
Although he was not looking at me, I turned my head to his direction and pouted like a little child, "But, you tell me everything! I do not care if it is unnecessary, I will still listen. Everything that you say is important to me."
You are important to me.
Adrien nodded without a glance at my direction, "Of course, I know that, Mari. You are my best friend ever since middle school, you are already like my walking diary. I just do not think it is really important to talk about it."
