"But Mama," the corner of Marinette's lips curved into a sly smile as she looked into her mother's eyes. "you do not know what a heartbreak feels like, so how could you possibly understand your daughter, or should I say, Heartbreaker?"

A week ago, Marinette's boyfriend, ex-boyfriend to be exact, Adrien, was supposed to break up with her without any explanation at all. He would just tell her he is done with her, more likely done 'toying with her feelings' but everything went otherwise.

It was all for the prize, anyway.

Adrien was currently crushing on Aurore Beauréal, and he does not have the guts to ask her out. Well, they already went out for a lot of times, but with their school mates unfortunately. He really wanted to take Aurore for a romantic date and to confess his love for her, but he did not know how.

So he asked his best friend, Nino, for advice but his best friend seemed to be in his wrong mind that time; same goes with him as well.

Nino will willingly help Adrien with his Aurore dilemma if he accepts his challenge for him. Nino challenged him to make their friend, Marinette, believe that he is actually in love with her. He needs to do it for one whole week, then after he would break up with her by simply telling that he is over her. And, if he succeeds, the prize is Nino would help him with Aurore.

Adrien knew it was not a good idea to play with Marinette's feelings, and it will never be. He knows Marinette likes him, and that she would immediately believe him. Marinette's honestly the sweetest and kindest girl he knows, and he does not want her to hate him. 

He does not want her to get hurt, too.

But Adrien's desperate for Aurore so he accepted Nino's challenge with no hesitation. If Marinette will hate him after their 'break up' then so be it.

Adrien started his little game during Biology class, when he was partnered with Marinette for a presentation. He showered her compliments; like how beautiful she is, how creative and talented she is, and many other sugarcoated words that he could think of during that time.

Sadly, he did not mean it.

As expected, Marinette was blushing madly at him. Of course, Adrien saw that coming. That is why he did not hesitate to accept Nino's challenge; it is as easy as pie.

But he knows he is slowly hurting Marinette, with her not knowing at all.

Adrien did not care.

He knew Marinette will immediately fall for his game because she likes him, and he will make that as an advantage for him.

Despite the fact that he will hurt her in the process.

For the following days, he still continued to do his task; to make her fall in love him. And to his surprise, almost everything went according to his plan. Marinette is finally his girlfriend, and he was also quite astonished that she really did fall for his sweet lies.

But, there is one thing that did not go as what he originally planned.

He started to feel something...something that he should not feel.

Love.

He was falling for Marinette.

And, he did not know how, or why.

He just did.

It was already Friday, and it is finally time for Adrien to break up with Marinette.
