Changes and Lila Rossi (Part One) | Adrienette

"Times up! Now, please pass your papers," Ms. George uttered, which made the students groan and whine at her. She sighed in defeat. "Alright, alright. I will extend five more minutes, just make sure that your answers are all correct!"

Marinette Dupain-Cheng let out a sigh of relief as she continued answering her worksheet. She honestly did not study nor review for this, which made it a lot harder for her. Besides, she does not really care if her answers are all wrong—as long as she answered all the questions, that is fine with her. Because for Marinette, her grades are not important at all.

"Mari, your answers are all wrong!" Nathanaël Kurtzberg nudged her shoulder after he took a glimpse of her worksheet with a frown on his face. "You do not want to fail, right?"

She rolled my eyes, and tilted her head while writing her wrong answer on the paper, "I do not care, Nath! Plus, my grades are already failing so I decided to not care at all anymore."

Nathanaël breathed out a sigh before speaking again, "You know Marinette, you changed a lot. Forget about him and just go on with your life."

"I know letting go is hard, but holding on is harder," he continued, before he diverted his eyes on his paper. Marinette looked down to her worksheet, and pondered about what Nathanaël said earlier.

He is actually right, to be honest. I need to move on and forget about him, but I do not want to. Frankly, I do not really know. she thought.

The bell rang, signalling first period is already over. She scribbled her name down before passing her paper to Ms. George. She gave Marinette a small smile, "Are you alright, Ms. Dupain-Cheng?"

The bluenette smiled and nodded instantly, "I am alright, Ms. Regina. Just a little tired, I guess."

She hesitantly nodded while placing the worksheets on top of her table, "Okay then. You may go now, Marinette." she said with a smile.

The absentminded teenager gave her a small smile, before making her way out.

"Psst, Mari!" Lila Rossi tapped her shoulder with her pen. "I need to tell you something!"

Marinette let out a groan before allowing herself to face her, who was seated behind her, "What, Rossi?"

"Can we talk after class?" she anxiously asked, grasping her pen while waiting for the bluenette's answer. "Um, it is okay if you do not want to. I do not really mind—."

She cut her off with a nod, "Okay, sure. Why not?" Marinette smiled and faced the board again, just to end the conversation with her already.

Marinette despised Lila ever since she met her. She does not really know why, she just really dislikes the idea of being friends with the brunette. She told her once that she has a huge crush on her ex-boyfriend, Adrien Agreste, but she assured Marinette that she will never steal him from her.

But when she found out that he broke up with Marinette, she seemed relieved. She became a lot exuberant that it came to the point where it really annoys the bluenette already. Everytime they plan a hangout with the girls, she would always ditch them because she needs to do something important that has to be done during the day.

No one knows that Marinette hates her, so she needs to act like she enjoys her company which really sickens her.

"Alright," Lila mumbled, before taking a deep breath. "Mr. Potter!" she raised her hand to call his attention. He whipped his head to her direction, and raised a brow.
