"I'd Die For You" ~ A Jily Story

Chapter 11: Sure!

After three days of lying in bed in the Hospital Wing, we finally managed to convince Madam Pomfrey that I was okay, I was allowed to leave.

I am now in the common room trying to make all the homework I missed. It's a lot but all my friends were helping, although James and Sirius are still trying to figure out who poisoned me. I am alone in the common room alone with Sirius and James. It's going okay until now.

"I THINK I KNOW WHO DID IT!" James suddenly shouts, making me really jump, seeing I jump really easily.

"Merlin's beard! Did you have to scare me like that!" I scold.

"Sorry Lily!" James apologises.

"But you think you know who did it?" I ask again but a lot softer than James did.

"Yes," Sirius answers for James.

"Well, I think Regulus did it," James says, avoiding eye contact with Sirius.

"What! You're accusing my brother!?" Sirius exclaims. What! I thought he hated his brother.

"Yes, I'm sorry but it only makes sense. When Regulus came to our table on the day Lily went unconscious. He was looking at Lily more that the usual person would do, not that I understand that because Lily is quite pretty (I blush), but for him it was too much. He was acting really mischievous and Lily? Did you drink taste weird or did I just imagine you looking a little weird?"

"Yes, it tasted weird, a little bitter," I answer truthfully.

"See, I think Regulus spiked Lily's drink. He didn't do anything except insulting everyone, didn't he?" James continues.

It all makes sense now! Why didn't I figure it out before?

I start to cry a little but I don't exactly know why.

"Lily? Why are you crying?" James asks, shuffling towards me. Sirius comes and sits on the other side of me.

"I, just, why are you doing this for me? It's just that nobody has done something like this for me before, except Marlene and Alice," I laugh, wiping away my tears.

"I just think you need a hug!" Sirius exclaims, hugging me.

I laugh and when he lets me go, I turn to James and give him a hug too.

"So that's better!" I laugh again.

"Do you think we should tell someone about Regulus?" James asks.

"Yeah! My stupid, idiotic, annoying, damn brother did something to our Flower so we can't just let him get away with it!" Sirius exclaims with a bit of anger in his voice.

"But why did he do it?" I ask softly, looking at the boys.

"Lily? That night when you suggested for a different password, you said that you knew that Lucius, Narcissa and the rest of that gang are Death Eaters, are you sure about that?" James asks nervously.

"Yes," I whisper, almost inaudible.

James and Sirius look at each other and look very serious, no pun intended.

"Regulus is a Death Eater," Sirius whispers, looking furious.

James and I look at each other and both say, "Yes, I think so."
