Lily's POV:
The week passes and soon it's the day of Hogsmeade visit! I don't exactly know what made me say yes but this James is a total different James than two years ago. I know how much and how long he's wanted to go to Hogsmeade with me so I decided to make him happy. Not that I regret my choice because it will probably be fun, and we're going as 'just friends' so what am I worrying about!
The girls arrive and they look through my closet. They choose an outfit for me because according to them 'I can't choose my own outfit' which I think is nonsense but if they want to do something, there's no way out. I don't know why they're so excited because it isn't like a date or anything, is it?
They choose a white t-shirt and a light purple jumper. They also decide on dark purple jeans, with my black shoes, which I really like.
"Now sit down Lily," Alice says, dragging a chair from my desk.
I sit down and wait for the next command.
"Just sit still and we'll do your hair and make up," Dorcas tells me, opening a box.
I silently groan because I hope she doesn't over do my make up.
They hum as they put things on my face and they often stop to look at their work.
"You can look again Lily!" Marlene squeals excitedly.
I open my eyes and look in the mirror. Wow! They really did do their best! My hair is nicely brushed and they left it loose. They did some mascara on my eyelashes and a purple eyeshadow on my eyelids. I have a nice pinkish colour on my lips and they also did some blush on my cheekbones.
"Thanks guys!" I thank, really meaning it.
"Have fun Lil!" Marlene exclaims, hugging me.
"Thanks, you too!" I reply.
I walk downstairs and see James waiting in the Entrance Hall, where we had said we would meet.
"You look beautiful!" James blurts out, turning pink.
"Thank you," I say, blushing too.
We both laugh and then walk outside, into the cold. It isn't snowing yet but it feels like minus ten or something! It's freezing and it's just October!
"So, how are you?" James asks politely.
"Splendid!" I laugh.
"Seriously?"
"I'm fine! It's just cold but I'm glad to finally get out of the castle! And you?" I say truthfully.
"Yeah, same," James replies, shivering. "Where do you want to go first?"
"Umm, I don't mind, we can finish at The Three Broomsticks for a warm drink?" I suggest, sinking into my coat.
"Of course Lily!" James agrees, continuing to walk.
We keep on walking until we enter the village.
"So, Honeydukes first?" James asks.
"Yeah!" I reply enthusiastically.
