10. Life was never worse...

Emily's POV

There was a soft knock on the door and Italia peaked in. "Can I come in?" She asked.

I nodded.

"I just sent Rob home with Steve. Do you want to talk about what happened?" She questioned, sitting down on the edge of the bed.

I shook my head.

"Ok. Well then let's just watch some tv?"

I nodded and she turned it on, switching to E! where they were running a segment on none other than Stephen.

"I'll change it." She said, quickly picking up the remote.

I stopped her. I wanted to see if they had figured out what was going on yet.

"Arrow Star, Stephen Amell has divorced from America's Next Top Model contestant Cassandra Jean, who he has one child with, for his co-star and also Canada resident, Emily Bett Rickards." The host of the news special spoke as if it were the most interesting thing in the world, when there were bigger things happening in the world.

"I should really change it." Italia insisted.

I took the remote from her. "I want to see what they know."

"We can easily ask Marc or Wendy."

I shook my head and continued to listen.

"Emily Bett Rickards joined the DC Universe in episode 3 of the first season of the hit show and soon became a series regular, should she owe that to her relationship with Stephen or did they fall for each other over coffee just this past year? Is her success as Felicity Smoak only because Stephen Amell was interested in the young actress? We'll have all the answers after the break and the official statement from the actors themselves."

Italia took the remote back and switched off the TV. "Ok. That's enough, this can't be good for you or the babies."

"Where's my phone?" I asked looking around the room.

"Your mom has it; she doesn't want you on Twitter trying to find out what everyone is saying."

"Knock Knock." I looked to the door and a cheerful Genevieve was standing with Jared waiting for the okay to join us.

"Come on in." Italia said, equally cheerful.

Gen walked over and gave me a hug. "How are you hun?"

I smiled. "I'm fine. Just had a little scare. Have to take extra extra care now."

"Jar's been trying to get a hold of Stephen, but no luck. We were getting really worried so we left the kids with Danneel and Jensen and rushed over."

"Yeah. Stephen isn't here, but I'm sure he'll call you Jared." I replied.

Gen shot a look of concern to Italia.

"I really appreciate that you are all here, but I would like to get some rest, if you don't mind?" I spoke as politely as I could and they were soon gone, leaving me alone to wallow in my own misery.

How was I going to pull off being a single mother, how could I live without having Mavi every day...

Italia's POV

I walked out of the room with Gen and Jared making our way to the cafeteria.

"Is everything okay?" Gen asked as soon as Jared was preoccupied with all of the food, he was oblivious to what was really going on.

"No. And I am so glad that you are here because I don't know what to do. I'm kind of stuck in the middle. I love EBR and Stephen is family. I know that she has a support system just as much as he does, but they belong together and right now everything is a mess. She kicked him out and told him he was off the hook, I made Rob get him out of here because he was a complete wreck. The babies are barely surviving and Em needs all the peace that she can get, so we can't force her to talk to Stephen." I began to explain Emily's medical condition and how Andrea was somehow involved in all of this. Gen had agreed to check in every single day and she would be alternating nights here with me and Danneel while the boys made sure Stephen was making it through.
