Emily's POV

After the eventful night we went up to the hotel room, alone. Mavi and JJ were inseparable at this point and Danneel had offered to take care of her tonight so we could get some rest since we had 5 full days of work ahead of us before we went to Toronto for Stephen's family reunion.

"So when can we go see the house?" I asked.

He smiled. "It should be ready when we get back from Toronto."

I stayed quiet. I wasn't sure that I wanted to go to Toronto. It was just another opportunity for Andrea to make me feel like less of a person. I didn't believe her fake smiles and I sure as hell didn't believe that she was going to try and get to know me and be there for Stephen and I. She was still rooting for Cassandra.

"Babe?" He said worried. "Everything okay?"

I nodded.

He came and sat next to me. "What's going on in that head of yours?"

I sighed. "Don't be mad."

He let out a breath. "You don't like the house."

I shook my head. "No. It's not that. I love the house. It's.."

"What?" He was getting impatient.

"I don't think I should go to Toronto. You should make it a weekend trip with Mavs." I said.

"Is this about Andrea?" He questioned.

I sighed. "You already know that it is."

He shook his head. "Babe. Andrea doesn't control the entire family. You belong there."

"It's an Amell family reunion. I'm not an Amell." I pointed out.

"That was your choice. Not mine. And Andrea isn't an Amell anymore." He tried to make me feel better.

"Andrea will always be an Amell no matter what." I countered.

He sighed. "Fair enough, but you are carrying two Amell's in there." He said pointing at my stomach.

"Stephen. I honestly think it would be better if I skipped this one and I shouldn't be traveling too much anyway because of my pregnancy."

He immediately grew worried. "Is something wrong? You said you were fine. The party was too much wasn't it?"

I laughed. "No. I'm fine. I just think that at this point in the pregnancy I shouldn't be traveling as much. I know I'm only a little over 3 months, but the doctor said I might not carry full term and I want to take all precautions."

"Fine then I won't go."

I shook my head. "You have to go."

"I'm not going to leave you alone." He countered.

I rolled my eyes. "I'm not a child. I can take care of myself."

He stood his ground. "If you're not going, I'm not going. End of story."

One week later. The day before the reunion.

Stephen's POV

We were having lunch at Jared and Gen's house and I had asked the girls to help me convince Emily to go to the reunion.

"So do you guys fly out tonight or early morning?" Danneel asked.

Emily shook her head. "We're actually not going anymore."

"What? Why? A weekend in Stephen's hometown I wouldn't miss that." Gen said. They were really selling it.

"I just don't want to be traveling so much because of the risk to the babies." Emily explained.
