24. Since the first I love you.

Stephen's POV

Her dad handed her over to me and patted me on my shoulder. "I am trusting you with her heart, I've protected it for all of these years and now it's your turn. Don't let me down."

I nodded and she smiled at her dad. He gave her a kiss on the forehead. "I love you princess, be happy."

I helped her up the steps and she handed her bouquet over to Fanta.

"Join hands." Zaco sounded so professionally like he had done this before and I couldn't help but chuckle.

"We are brought here today by a love so true that it couldn't be kept a secret for long. I remember the first day Steve met Emily and he called me after talking to her. He was stuttering and sounded like a teenage boy who had his first crush." Everyone laughed and Emily was already on the verge of tears.

Zaco continued. "When Italia and Robbie came to me with this crazy idea I immediately offered to be the one to marry them and thanks to some sketchy website that I hope is legal, I am able to do it today. Anyway the moment I saw them together for the first time I knew we would end up here and I couldn't be happier for my best friend, who has finally found his soulmate. Since this was a surprise wedding for the bride and groom, I assume there are no vows?"

I shook my head. "I actually have somethings to say."

Emily looked shocked when she saw me pull a folded up piece of paper.

"Emily, my Emily, I remember walking into that casting room the very first day and seeing you nervously waiting on Greg and Wendy to call you in, I had never seen someone as beautiful as you and I didn't realize in that moment of just sharing a brief hello and a bit of advice that I was already falling in love with you. As I look at this list of promises I wrote the day you told me you loved me.."

"You wrote your vows the day I said Ioved you?" She questioned with tears streaming down her face.

I smiled. "I knew in that moment we would end up here."

She smiled and I continued. "I promise to always wait for you to watch a new episode of House of Cards, I promise to always rinse my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher, I promise to always wait for you to come home at night no matter what time you wrap, I promise to always watch those weird black and white movies with you, and I promise to always love you with every part of me."

I wiped her tears and we shared a quiet "I love you."

She turned to Italia who was trying to hand her a piece of paper. "Thank you, but I don't need it."

Italia smiled and Emily began to speak. "I never in a million years imagined to find my happiness in a superhero tv show that I was only supposed to guest star in, but I'm so glad that I stuck around. I can't say I was as sure as you were, but I always held on to hope and I want to make a few promises of my own. I promise to always go to Blue Jays games with you even though sports aren't my thing, I promise to always be your shoulder to lean on when you've had enough, I promise to always bring you your own coffee so you'll stop stealing mine during early call times, I promise to try and not steal your favorite towel as long as you don't leave it on the bed after you shower." I nodded in agreement. "And I promise to love you until the end of time, because you deserve so much and your 3 babies and I are going to adore you for the rest of our lives."

It took everything in me to hold back the tears that were threatening to spill out, and if I'm honest it didn't work out so well.

Zaco began to speak again. "Rings please."

I turned to Robbie and Emily turned to Fanta.

"Emily place the ring on Stephen's finger and repeat after me."

"I Emily Bett Richards, take you Stephen Adam Amell to be my lawful husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, in sickness and health, until death do us part."

Stephen place the ring on Emily's finger and repeat after me.

"I Stephen Adam Amell, take you Emily Bett Rickards to be my lawful wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, in sickness and health, until death do us part."

"By the power vested in me by oneminuteminister.com I now pronounce you Husband and Wife, Stephen you may kiss your bride."

I pulled her into my arms and kissed her like there was no tomorrow I was finally married to the love of my life and happy was not a strong enough word to describe the way I was feeling in this moment.

Emily's POV

I prepared myself to walk down the aisle while Zaco shouted into the microphone and the crowd erupted in cheers and applause. "I now pronounce to you for the first time ever Mr. and Mrs. Amell!"

I couldn't keep my eyes off of Stephen as we literally walked away to our happily ever after.

Reception...

I walked into the huge tent that was on the other side of Italia and Robbie's massive back yard. I still didn't understand why they owned acres of land when they were rarely here.

I looked around and I couldn't believe my eyes. Flowers were everywhere and the twinkling lights that covered the entire ceiling were breathtaking. Tables and chairs were set up with white cloths and as I walked hand in hand with Stephen to our table there was a quiver full of arrows and a pair of Felicity's glasses sitting in the center of our seats with a sign that read Mr. and Mrs. Amell. I immediately looked at Stephen and he winked.

We sat down and he reached over to hand my phone to Italia. "Get a picture of the center piece and only our hands and a bit of her dress and my suit but not our faces please."

She quickly grabbed the phone and snapped the picture. Stephen blurred out the background except for the center piece and sent the picture to himself.

We quickly pulled up Instagram and typed our captions.

Mine read Always....

His read ...& forever.

I posted mine and once it showed he quickly posted his not even two seconds later.

The photographer was running around getting pictures of everyone while we waited to eat and hear the toasts and have or first dance as husband and wife.
