23. Love is Alive

Weeks later...

Emily's POV

We were back at work and things between us and Cassandra had been going pretty well, she hadn't questioned Stephen's parenting and was around for everything in Mavi's life.

There wasn't much left to film before hiatus we had about 20 work days left over the next month and a half. I was closer and closer to my due date which would be 2 weeks after we went on break and it gave me extra time to get back in shape for the next half of the season. The last doctors visit had shown that I would not make it full term, but the babies would be fine.

"Hey babe, have you heard from Jared?" Stephen walked into the trailer.

I shook my head. "Something wrong?"

He shrugged. "I hope not. I just got a cryptic text from him a couple hours ago when I was on set."

I furrowed my brows. "What did it say?"

"Meet him at Robbie's house by five."

"Robbie's?"

He nodded.

"That is strange. I can call Gen if you want?" I offered.

He shook his head. "Let's just head over there as soon as we're done here."

I agreed and headed to set. Today I was only doing a few scenes with David and Stephen.

After we were done at work we headed home to change. On our way to Robbie's I got a call from my manager.

"Hey Emily. Are you busy? I have a few things to go over with you." She questioned.

"I'm actually on my way to Robbie's. Everything okay?"

She sighed. "I need to know if you and Stephen have decided how you are going to release the first pictures of the babies..."

I furrowed my brows and put her on speaker.

"What do you mean? I imagine Stephen and I will just make an Instagram post or something."

Stephen nodded.

"Well there are a lot of offers on the table, from US Weekly, People Magazine, even TV Guide has called for a cover shot. They are willing to pay a lot of money to get the first look at the Amell twins, especially after the scandal that was posted all over the tabloids when you two announced your relationship." She explained.

I scoffed. "I am not selling pictures of my children."

"Well what about going on a talk show? Ellen is interested in a follow up interview after the wedding and babies."

"We will have to think about this Grace, but we will get back to you." Stephen said and hung up.

"What's wrong?" I asked when I saw his face full of anger.

He shook his head. "It just reminded me of when Cassandra tried to do this shit with Mav, but I was no where near fame and she was just a model with a few guest roles under her belt."

I stayed quiet.

He reached for my hand. "I'm sorry I don't mean to bring her up with stuff related to the babies, I know you don't like that, but I just don't feel comfortable with this. I think we should just post a picture of them when we're ready."

I smiled. "I feel the same way."

We pulled up to Robbie's to see a bunch of cars parked in the driveway.

"If this is another surprise party I am going to be pissed." I said getting out of the car.

Stephen laughed and we walked hand in hand to the front door.
