16. Someday we're gonna look back & say look at us now...

A/N: I'm so sorry this is up late. It was supposed to be posted 2 days ago, but my niece and nephews suckered me into an entire day of swimming and before I knew it I was back at school! Emily's POV

I pulled up to the WB Production offices with Colton. Mavi was playing with her Nemo, while the movie played on the screen in front of her in the backseat.

Gen had insisted that I leave her with them, but I knew I couldn't I had to let Stephen see her. I got her out of her car seat and walked up the steps, Colton at my side. He opened the door for us and the first person to greet us was Greg.

"Hey!" He said cheerfully and embraced us. "We're just waiting on Stephen now, I figured he would show up with you?"

I shook my head. "I was with Gen and Danneel and Colton picked me up. Stephen should be here soon." I didn't lie, just omitted some semi important details. I didn't want everyone to know about all of our problems.

I walked into the conference room where there were 2 huge screens on with Wendy on one and the other with Marc.

Mavi immediately ran over to Willa and Katie came over to me.

"You okay?" She asked concerned.

I nodded. "Yeah. Just didn't get much sleep because Mavi slept in the bed last night." Which this time wasn't a total lie, it just wasn't all of the information.

She laughed. "I'm guessing that's why Stephen is late?" She looked at the clock and the meeting should've started 3 minutes ago.

I smiled and sat down next to Colton, she took the seat on the other side of me.

I was reading over the schedule that was sitting in front of me when I heard Mavi shout, "Dada!!"

I looked up and there he was at the door. He looked like he hadn't slept all night and my first instinct was to go to him and comfort him, but I couldn't move.

He immediately picked her up, but his eyes were on me the whole time.

Katie spoke to him first. "God, Em wasn't exaggerating about you guys not sleeping with Mav in your bed!"

He looked at me sadly and I just nodded. My way of letting him know it was okay to just go along with story.

He sat down next to Katie and Mavi went back to Willa.

"Alright. Now that everyone is here we can get started." Greg said taking control of the room.

I zoned out for most of the meeting. I only took from it what I needed, which was wardrobe and what time I needed to be there.

Once the meeting was over everyone went their own way, but Stephen approached me.

"Can we talk?" He asked. Colton stayed at my side.

I shook my head. "Not now. I have to go."

"Emily." He pleaded.

I picked up Mav's diaper bag. "We have a playdate with JJ, Shep, and Thomas, then I have to drop Mavi off with Cassandra."

"Cassandra?" He questioned.

I rolled my eyes. "Of course you forgot. She asked to take Mavi to Texas for a few days while we go back to work, to which we both agreed."

He sighed. "Ok. That's fine. We just really need to talk."

"We can talk when we get home in a couple days." I replied before taking Mavi's hand. "Say bye to Dada, Mav."
