Emily's POV

This night had quickly turned into a night to remember. When I woke up this morning I didn't expect to be marrying Stephen. I looked down at my hand to see a wedding band a long with my engagement ring.

I couldn't help but go back to a moment Stephen and I shared a couple years ago.

Flashback.

I knocked on Stephen's trailer door and a few seconds later he opened it.

"Hey Em. Come on in." He held the door open and I walked inside.

"Everything ok?" I asked him when I noticed the frown on his face. I vowed to never cross that line, he was married and according to him he loved his wife, but today things seemed different.

"Yeah. Are you ready to go over some lines?" He asked trying to change the subject.

I shook my head. "I want to talk."

He sighed. "Emily, you don't have to do this, I'm fine. Really."

"I want to do this. I care about you and I think I know you pretty well to say you're not fine and you need me right now."

He sat down and put his hands over his face and groaned.

"I just miss my daughter. I don't know how Cassandra can be so selfish." He was finally opening up.

I took his hand in mine and spoke gently. "I wish I could take this pain away from you. If it were me, I would be here with you every possible second."

He turned to look at me, our noses almost touching. I pulled away.

End of flashback.

"That would've been our first kiss." I whispered to myself.

We were in the middle of our first dance as husband and wife, he pulled away to look at me.

"What was that?" Stephen asked with the biggest smile on his face.

I laughed. "Nothing. Just remembering our old life."

He chuckled. "Things sure were boring back then."

I shook my head. "Stephen, our life hasn't been boring since the moment you said hi to me in that casting office."

He kissed me and the room erupted in applause.

Soon I felt someone tugging at my dress and I looked down to see Mav.

She put her arms up and Stephen lifted her up and we continued to dance together as a family.

My perfect family.

Stephen's POV

I couldn't contain my happiness as I watched Emily and Mav laugh and make faces at each other while we danced. How could my life have turned out this way?

I still didn't believe that I deserved this much happiness.

When the song was over we all posed for our family picture and went to mingle with a few guests before the father/daughter and mother/son dance.

"So how does it feel to be a married man... again?" Robbie asked, obviously confusing himself with that question.

"Honestly? I feel a happiness and fulfillment I have never felt before. This is where I was meant to be." I beamed.

The night continued as any other wedding, pictures, dancing, drinks, and too much cake.

The reception was finally over and I was saying my last goodbyes before heading on what everyone was calling a baby moon instead of a honey moon.

As we got into the car, Emily asked. "Where are we going?"

I shrugged my shoulders. "I have no idea."

She sighed. "I'm just glad to be back in my sneakers and leggings. The dress was beautiful, but I don't think the babies were too happy with it."

She rested her head on my shoulder and I placed my hand on her belly.

"I love you, Mrs. Amell."

She looked up and smiled from ear to ear. "I love you too, Mr. Rickards"

Then everything went dark.

I woke up to a loud beeping noise and a swarm of people around me. I tried to move, but something was restraining me.

"Mr. Amell, we need you to stay calm." I looked around and Italia was standing with Robbie in the corner of the room. She had tears in her eyes.

A nurse whispered something into her ear and she took off running while Robbie stayed in the room.

I tried to clear my throat. "Rob.." I could barely catch my breath.

He looked at a nurse and she nodded. He came to my side.

"It's okay, Steve, just stay calm. They're taking care of her."

I closed my eyes. I knew him all too well, something was terribly wrong with Emily and there wasn't a single thing I could do about it.

Italia's POV

I rushed over to the other side of the ER where they had Emily.

I walked into her room and she was sitting up, her face full of scrapes and bruises, but what was most noticeable was the worry in her eyes.

"How is he?! What's going on?!" She exclaimed as soon as she saw me.

I went to her side and grabbed her hand. "He's awake and responsive, but they don't know anything else yet."

A tear fell from her eye. "He threw himself over me to protect us, he wasn't wearing his seatbelt. I just heard the crash, there was glass flying everywhere. He was pinned..." The tears started flowing freely from her eyes.

"Hey. Hey. Everything is going to be okay. You need to stay calm so those babies can finishing cooking." I brushed her hair out of her face and wiped her tears. "He's strong. Everything is going to be fine."

The nurse walked in and gave Emily a mild sedative to help her nerves. Once she was sound asleep, I went to meet Rob and get an update on Stephen.

"How is he?" I questioned as Robbie walked out of the room.

He shook his head. "He's got a concussion, 3 cracked ribs, he dislocated his shoulder, and a sprained ankle. It could've been a hell of a lot worse. How's Em?"

I sighed. "She's sleeping now. She has a few bumps and bruises, but her and the babies are okay, she's mostly worried about Steve."

"How did this happen? Just a few hours ago they were getting married and ready to live their happily ever after." I placed my hand on his chest and wrapped my arm around his waist.

"They will get through this. If they have proved anything, it is that their love can withstand any obstacle."
