A few weeks later.

Stephen's POV

Emily and I had finally adjusted to our new life. We were actually doing pretty well with two infants and a toddler running around. Life was hectic, but we were making it work the best way we knew how. Together.

"S is ready for her bottle." Emily said carrying the baby down stairs. "Junior is sleeping. Won't be up for about another 45 minutes she said looking down at the clock."

I smirked. "So let's get S down quick. We have one hour before Mavi has to be picked up."

She laughed.

I frowned. "I'm serious. We need some adult time." I raised my brows and she continued to laugh at me.

"Adult time gave us these babies."

I sighed and handed the bottle to her.

"Don't pout. This weekend is all about us remember. Rob and Italia are keeping the kids and we get to spend some time alone." She reminded me.

I had practically begged Em to let Robbie and Italia keep the kids for one night. Even though they lived 10 minutes away from us. They were almost two months old and we hadn't been away from them for even a minute. She was a great mom, but I wanted to spend time with my wife for a while. My wife. I still couldn't get used to that. We would be returning to work soon and things were going to be more frantic than they were now.

Once S was asleep in her swing it meant Emily and I had about 30 minutes to ourselves which for Emily meant a nap.

I decided to put on the blue jays game while she cuddled up to me on the couch and dozed off.

30 minutes later. Like clockwork, Emily was awake and Junior was crying through the monitor. I quickly shut it off to not wake S. They were on slightly different schedules that worked best for us when we were back on the Arrow set.

"I guess I should head out to get Mav before I get stuck in traffic." I said getting ready to grab my keys and kiss Emily goodbye.

She grabbed her phone first and took a second before answering me.

"Did you not check the schedule today?" She asked.

I furrowed my brows and pulled out my phone. Opening the coparenting app we had set with Cassandra.

"Shit. I forgot she was in Vancouver and would be getting Mavi today."

Emily shot daggers at me. "Stephen! Language!"

I laughed and she chucked a pillow at me before going upstairs to get Junior.

Emily's POV

I picked up Junior and sat in the rocking chair with him for a little while. My life had changed quickly and drastically this past year. I was 24 married with 3 kids. I no longer went out to a party every weekend or worked crazy hours. I was all about my husband and my kids and I couldn't be happier.

When Mavi came home she went straight upstairs to hang out with me and Stephen while we bathed the babies.

Once they were in their cribs I went to give Mavi a bath.

"Mama Emily." My head shot up in her direction.

"What did you say?"

She smiled and pointed at me. "Mama Emily."

Tears filled my eyes. I didn't know what to say or even how to feel. I never thought in a million years that Mavi would want to call me her mama. Cassandra was very present in her life and Mavi was a smart girl she knew the difference between us.
