Sue Kangaroo searched her pocket a dozen times

Nothing but rubber bands and a couple of dimes

How can she lose such an important possession?

Where the heck is Joey, is the better question

-

She grew more frantic as her heart began to race

Stomped her foot loudly, accelerated the pace

Then shouted JOEY in a high-pitched barking noise

Which caught the attention of some kickboxing boys

-

Joey, your mom's here and I think you better go

Next time you come, you should probably let her know

-

Sue took Joey home and tucked him safely in bed

Squeezed his hand and softly kissed his little forehead

After that experience, Sue and Joey vouch

A child needs permission before leaving the pouch
