The rest of the week rolled by pretty fast. On Tuesday we went hiking and swam at Pierre's Cove. I used to go there a lot with Dad, it was our special place. But it was nice to make other memories there. On Wednesday we went scuba diving over one of the reefs. I enjoyed that a lot. We had to pair up so I went with Rose. We held hands and were cute friends. Something I will come to miss as her relationship with Jake becomes more serious. On Thursday we did rock climbing and abseiling. Of course Luke aced that. I must say, I wasn't too bad myself. Darcy is terrified of heights so she spent most of the day in tears. Miss Nasty is pretty soft. On Friday we have a picnic on the beach and play beach Cricket, Volleyball and other cool games.
At 2 pm we all head back to camp and began the clean up. Our group is on grounds clean up. We split into two groups of three: Tommy, me and Luke. And Seth, Jake and Rosie. We start at opposite ends of the field and meet in the middle.
"Wowee, there was more rubbish that thought there would be," Luke says looking at both of our bags, which were nearly full.
"We even found an empty condom packet!" Rose gags pointing into her trash bag with a stick.
"Wonder who that was," I chuckle thinking back to Wednesday night When Tommy and I discovered Rhea and Zeke going at it. The best part is she is a blonde, rich cheerleader and Zeke is more of a weird, academic guy that is an underdog during track meets. He almost always wins. Tommy scrunches up his face, disgusted. He saw a lot more than I did.
"A tip for the future my friends. Always pick up after yourself when you make a mess," Luke says like a children's TV presenter. Our banter is brought to an end When Mr Maclean rings the bell, to gather us all back in.
"Alright guys, the people going on the bus will be leaving now. The people that aren't will stay here with me," He informs us.
I glance back at Tommy, thinking about his admittance to having a crush on Storm. They would be adorable. But I promised to keep my sticky hands out of his master plan. Having spent a week with these five people, that I have come to appreciate quite a lot. It will be sad to leave them even if it is just for the weekend. At least I will still have Luke. I watch Tommy, Jake and Rose gather up their bags and add them to the pile waiting to be packed into the bus.
"See you beautiful," I say to Rose enveloping her in a big hug.
"Have an incredible weekend. Don't let Luke annoy you too much," She giggles kissing my cheek. Jake gives me a quick side hug before following Rose onto the bus. When they've taken their seats I turn and face Tommy.
"Who knew someone could become so special in short amount of days. You are a splendid human Tommy Tom Tom. Thank you for persisting with your new years resolution. It has made my life so much better," I squeeze his hand and pulling him in for a snuggly hug. My face is buried in his chest and all I can smell is him.
"Poodle you are fantastic. Never forget that. I will text you throughout the weekend. Have a great time," Tommy says. I blow him a kiss as he walks up the bus steps. He catches it and places it on his cheek, before returning it.
Seth, Luke and I stand and wave as the bus drives off. "Hey, my parents just arrived. So I should get going. Thank you for an awesome week. You guys are awesome. I am so glad I got to know you better," Seth says hoisting his duffle bag onto his shoulder. He hugs me with his spare arm. I love hugs from boys that are far bigger than me. It feels safe. Luke and I watch as Seth climbs into his family's SUV. I smile at how excited his little sisters get when they see him. Squeals of delight followed by fits of giggles flood from the car as they drive past us.
"So cute," I coo grabbing Luke's arm. Luke chuckles ruffling my hair.
"You were probably like that when your big sister was at school," He beams.
