The next week whizzes by rather fast to all of our misery. It's assignment week and by Friday after handing in our designated assignment to each subject we all feel rather dejected. Our last two days of school ever are next week. We have a very small amount of energy and for the first time in ages we all know that there won't be any socialising tonight. Just sleeping and tomorrow night we will celebrate our success or lack thereof. I haven't seen Zac all week and I'm really missing him. Unlike the majority of my year level, I did get a good amount of sleep each night. Because I don't believe all-nighters produce the best work. I am still rather tired. But I could do with a visit from my boyfriend. So on my way to Mum's shop I send him a quick text asking if he's busy.
"Hey darling, congratulations! Its all over! Let's celebrate by going out for cake and coffee," Mum cheers as soon as I walk in the doors of her shop. The younger two children have gone to my grandparents' house for the weekend and Mum leaves tonight for a girls weekend with a few of her friends.
"Sounds wonderful, hey Mum is it okay if Zac comes over tonight? I haven't seen him all week and I also don't like being alone in the house during the night," I thought I better ask before I make plans.
"Sure honey, I trust both of you," She says grabbing her keys. I wait at the car while she sorts something with her assistant manager.
Coffee and cake with Mum is rather nice. We talk about all the things going on each other's lives. Having such a honest and open relationship with Ma is amazing. There's no point in arguments because we already sorting out solutions to problem before they get worse.
As soon as we get home, Mum starts piling her weekend gear into the car. "I better get going we have a dinner reservation at 7," she says checking her watch for the ninetieth time. They're only going across town to the suburb Rora and all that crew live. So she's had the afternoon to take her time.
"Alright Mummy, love you. Have a fantastic weekend, you're awesome," I give her a big hug and wave as she drives down the street.
Twenty minutes later Zac pulls into the driveway just as I am getting changed after having a shower. Luckily I left the door unlocked and prewarned him about my shower, "I brought dinner!" He yells up the stairs as I pull a grey sweater on over my black leggings. I can hear him setting the table as I jog down the stairs.
"Oh my word, you bought Thai. You're a total babe," I chuckle wrapping my arms around waist. The time apart was pretty tough. I've really seriously missed him. It's been twelve days since I last saw him that's a pretty long time, nearly two weeks. His arms encircle my waist and for the first time in twelve days I feel fully relaxed.
"I know you need an early night so I thought we could eat and then watch an episode of Riverdale in bed," he kisses my head, "I mean all I wanna do is kiss and snuggle you but I'll be able to do that whilst you watch your TV. I don't even care if I distract you. I just want you in my arms."
And that's exactly what happens. I end up falling asleep in Zac's arms half way through the episode. It's exactly where I want to be.

When I wake up I have several missed calls from both Storm and Conroy. It must be important. I quickly call Storm back and her words catch me off guard."Penelope come over to my house as soon as possible we need to talk. Bring Zac if he's there. Jayda and Tommy are coming shortly," Storm says as soon as she picks up. It must be about Conroy.
"Zac, baby we have to go to the twins house. I think Conroy told Storm," I stretch against him.
"Well this is going to be interesting," Zac laughs uncomfortably as he walks into the bathroom.
