Jay and I made small talk for about another hour or so until I decided I should probably head back home. Overall, I still knew very little about him. I knew that he liked to go there because he wanted to be alone, which most likely meant that he lived with someone. I also knew that he has a difficult time controlling his shifting.

Part of me wanted to get as far away from him as possible. The other part of me was curious about him and thought that we could be friends. Why not, right? My sister had plenty of friends. Then again, if I shifted anyone would instantly know who I was. If my sister shifted, she was just another werewolf. That's what I was thinking when I entered the house to find a very angry Alpha.

"Where have you been? It's nearly morning! I couldn't find you and was worried sick!" He yells but freezes suddenly, sniffing the air around me. His eyes narrow. "Where were you?"

"I was out walking," I answer slowly. "I couldn't sleep."

"You weren't alone," he growls, eyes turning yellow.

"I ran into someone, but we didn't talk much," I reply. This was not a complete lie, but a lie nonetheless. Why did I even bother? Alpha would find out eventually anyways.

"What did he say?" He asks demandingly.

"Not much," I say, growing curious. "Why?"

"Because I know his smell and I need to know what he said," he answers.

"Like I said, he didn't say much," I reply. "Mostly he just pointed out that I was in his space."

He nods his head. "Good. Don't go back there again. I don't want you anywhere near him."

"What's so bad about him?" I question.

"He's dangerous," Alpha growls. "Stay away from him."
