Taylor wakes up feeling nervous. She is going to the beach where Karlie will be waiting for her with Joe. She has seen her a couples of times before at the beach but this time is different. It's different because they exchanged a couple of texts the previous day and Karlie told her to meet there. Now it is not a casual encounter, it is some kind of play date for their dogs. Taylor is aware about how difficult is for her to talk with new people so getting along with Karlie, the only person that she knows in LA is really important for her. She rolls over the bed to get to the edge and looks for Pongo but he is not in his bed besides Taylor's bed. She quickly gets up and goes to find him. Pongo always sleeps in her room, even if she goes to sleep soon some nights, someone on her family opens her door to let him in. She goes downstairs but Pongo isn't there, she has thought that maybe he is asleep on some couch but it is not the case. When she checks the ground floor and he is not there she guesses that maybe he's with Austin or her parents. And she is right. Pongo is asleep inside Austin's room.
-Come on boy, it's time to go- Taylor whispers trying not to wake up her brother but loud enough for Pongo to hear her- good boy.
Taylor receives him with a big smile when he licks her face happy to see her. Pongo follows her back to her room where she gets changed before leaving the house with him. It's really early so there isn't a lot of people around when they reach the beach. They walk during a while until they get to the usual place where Karlie is.
-Hey you- Karlie smiles the moment Taylor is close enough to hear her.
-Hey good morning- Taylor says blushing a little bit.
-We were starting to think that you weren't coming- Karlie jokes crouching to pet Pongo.
-Sorry my brother decided to take Pongo to his room last night and I didn't find him at first in that big rental house- Taylor explains setting Pongo free so he can run after Joe.
-Does he usually sleeps in your room?- Karlie asks curious.
-Yes, he does- Taylor smiles and looks the spot right next to Karlie.
-Joe and Olivia usually sleeps with me too- Karlie says when she notices where is Taylor looking- you can sit Taylor.
-The two of them?- Taylor asks surprised sitting by her side.
-Do I need to remind you that even if the two of them sleep with me they are smaller than your dog?- Karlie laughs turning to face Taylor and crossing her legs to sit better.
-But Pongo sleeps on in his bed on the floor- Taylor justifies.
-And also Joe- Karlie explains laughing before she admits -but it's true that Olivia sleeps on the bed with me.
-Even if I adore cats do you know that it's not exactly healthy to sleep with them right?- Taylor asks stopping herself to give the the scientific explanation about why is not healthy.
-I know but what can I do? I adore my little and flurry Olivia- Karlie says shrugging her shoulders before she grabs her phone- come on look at this.
