Taylor has been nervous since the moment she woke up that morning. She doesn't know how to act when Karlie arrives on that beach. She is waiting for her, it's still early for Karlie who texted her the previous night letting her know that she will be at the beach like any other day and they can meet there. Karlie was excited when she received the text but also scared of Taylor's decision after being absent for so many days.
Taylor stands on the shore with Pongo by her side waiting for Karlie to arrive. One more morning she has left the house without anyone awake. She is really lost in her thoughts not even realizing that Karlie is also at the beach, a few metres from here walking to her spot.
-Good morning- Karlie says breaking the silence and getting Taylor's attention.
-Hey- Taylor says turning to look at her.
There's a silence between them, they don't know how to act and how to greet each other. Karlie wants to kiss her since the moment she has seen Taylor with her dog but she knows that she can't do it, it's not right. She also wants to hug Taylor, she has always hugged her every morning practically since they met but she doesn't know it Taylor is going to be comfortable with it. They are staring at each other not sure what to do or say now but luckily for them their dogs run into each other and get into the water breaking the intense moment.
-They have missed each other- Karlie laughs turning to watch them and breaking the eye contact.
-I can notice it- Taylor finally says looking at them.
-Come on, let's go for a walk- Karlie suggests with a small smile.
-Sure- Taylor accepts following her.
The dogs run along with them the moment they see that the girls are walking away. Even with the awkward situation between them Taylor feels good being around Karlie again. She has missed the actress those last few days and she wants to say a lot of things and how sorry she is for ignoring her but she doesn't know how to start the conversation.
Karlie on her side feels happy to be with her because maybe that means that after all they can still be friends, even if she crossed the line back at the party. By that time Karlie knows well enough Taylor to know that she has to be the one breaking the tension between them one more time.
-So... how are you?- Karlie asks wanting to have a normal conversation to show Taylor that everything is alright.
-Good... I've been with the family those past few days- Taylor answers trying to avoid the reason why she has been so much with her family.
-Your mum has to be happy then- Karlie jokes.
-A lot actually- Taylor says walking and focusing her eyes on the horizon and not Karlie- what about you?
-I've been relaxing at home and going out with my friends, nothing too interesting- Karlie explains before she decides to make a bold move and say some part of the truth- I've missed you.
Karlie stops walking the moment she confesses it and looks at Taylor. The young girl is surprised, she isn't expecting to hear that. Her mind starts going wild trying to figure it out what to say or do now. She is used to know what to say but Karlie always seen to disarm her really easily, she thinks about her conversation with Austin and Selena and decides for one follow their advices and be honest.
-I've missed you too- Taylor admits after a minute of silence, which makes Karlie smiles really big.
-I'm happy to hear that- Karlie admits and decides to be even more honest- I thought that you didn't want to know anything more about me.
