Chapter Five

    I sat mortified. I was obviously expected to answer, not like I knew how.

    "N-no Mrs. Hook!" I give her a weak smile, hopefully getting the 'shut up and continue with other things' message across.

      That failed.

    "Are you sure?" Mrs. Hook smiled tenderly.

    "Pretty sure."

     "Alright then," Mrs. Hook turned away from me, "Everyone, drama club is looking for more members so if you want to be dramatic-Cindy I'm talking about you-join drama club!"

    I zoned out, I liked staring at the nice wall. Someone poked me, but that would only be June, because she's the only one next to me today. I turned to her slowly, half expecting her to start beating me up. Oddly enough, she was smiling and pushed a note to me.

Today you're coming over to my house <3

    I looked for the question mark, but there is none. She's basically demanding I go to her house. I don't want to, I can't, I have too. Great.

    After homeroom ended I went around to my other classes, June followed me everywhere too. At lunch however June disappeared and I was at a table by myself. Not like I was complaining, I was hoping for sometime to look over my texts, the ones from the night before.

    The first three, still creepy, were at least manageable. The fourth was what made me drop my phone and look around with paranoia. It was slowly and painfully processing in my head. Either someone was in my room or outside it! Wait! I'm on the second story! Maybe they were lying? I nodded subtly, the nervous feeling never left and I was then reminded of my beautiful...balcony.

    It was the reason I begged my mom to give me that room-and not the one down the hall. I was regretting that choice and was considering asking my mom to switch rooms with me. However the thought of them getting onto the balcony and staring at my mom-and being disappointed to the point of breaking into the room where my mom slept- just made my stomach run far far away.

    So I decided to brave it and lock the door...and also throw away my lunch.

    After disposing of my meal I sat back down and glanced at my phone before putting it away. I had so little time till math, and if my day would turn for the better was riding on that note. Without June I was actually a bit lonely, and Julian, but he never spoke so you easily forgot about him. Standing, I decided to go find June.

    Even though I wanted to avoid her, I also didn't want to be 'the girl who ran into a sign and has no friends'. My school wasn't very big for a high school, but you could still take a long time to find someone.

    I was climbing up the stairs when my phone vibrated.

I can see you <3

    I froze and my brain kept screaming 'don't look behind you' like mad. However, like in every cliché horror movie I slowly turned around.

    An the office lady was walking by and that was it. She was totally the one stalking me.

No no no you looked the wrong way >:I

    Quickly I looked back up, and was able to catch a figure rush away.

    Got you.

    I sprinted up the stairs and turned into the hall my locker was at, a door that lead to the storage room closed.

    Scared and nervous being my companions, I approached the door. Reaching for the handle ever so slowly. I tensed up as I grabbed the cool metal, even slower I turned the knob. It's over! I have them right here! Trapped! They're so stupid! I took a deep breath and swung the door open.

    I was ready.
