Sticky Note Friend

Chapter Seven

    I felt my throat dry up as I recognized the playful yet charming voice. Brandon.

    "O-oh! Hi Brandon." I nervously shuffle my feet.

    "Aw..." Brandon moved his hands and stepped in front of me, grinning cheekily.

    With a dumbfounded expression I watched him check his phone. Brandon looked up at me and put his phone away.

    "Any pla"

    "NINA!"

    We both spun around and gaped as June came charging up the stairs. She looked furious and very tired, she grabbed my arm and tried regaining her breath. I gave her an odd look, what exactly was June doing.

    "You!" June pointed at Brandon.

    "I'm sorry do I know you?" Brandon looked a little startled.

    "Yes." June hissed.

    "Can I just say your eyes are gorgeous!" Brandon lean close to June.

    "Get back!" June kicked Brandon's shin.

    "Woah! Calm down!" I gaped at June, I knew she was kinda violent, but did she have to act like he was some kind of thug?!

    June pulled me towards her protectively. "Calm down!? This thing i-"

    "I am not a thing! I am a fabulous, rich boy!" Brandon scoffed at June.

    I couldn't help but laugh at that, June snickered. "That's hilarious."

    "Don't laugh at me!" Brandon stomped his feet, pouting like a child.

    I cleared my throat and smiled apologetically. "Sorry...um I hope I didn't come off as rude."

    "Of course not Nina!" Brandon brightened then looked expectantly at June.

    June was expressionless now, Brandon and June stared at each other while I awkwardly shuffled my weight from one foot to another. Nice fake plant over by the beautiful drinking fountain...

    "So...?" I interrupted the silence, watching as June and Brandon ignored me and continued the staring contest.

    Brandon's left eye twitched and started to water, "Crap." He muttered.

    I was beyond bored so I turned to walk away, only I found Julian right behind me. I had never screamed so loud before. June glanced at me, but went back to the staring contest, where Brandon had resorted to using his hands to keep his eyes open. Despite it being cheating, June let it be, she was totally beating him though.

    "Oh wow...Julian you nearly gave me a heart attack!" I put my hand on my heart and sighed.

    Julian looked down, I guessed that it meant he was sorry. "It's okay, since you can't speak you can't really notify people you're there without scaring them."

    He nodded and patted my head before turning to June and tilting his head curiously.

    "Staring contest." I put simply, Julian smiled softly before turning back to me.

    I looked at him, but we didn't speak-I mean Julian wouldn't anyways and I'm awkward-so we kinda stared at each other. Julian placed a hand on my shoulder, making me flinch, he instantly pulled away and stepped back. That sorry look crossed his face.

    "Haha I won." June's haughty voice drew my attention from Julian.

    I raised an eyebrow at the Brandon who was on the ground looking defeated, and also had tear streaks.

    "Cheater!" He cried, pointing at June with an upset expression.

    "I'm just better." June flipped her hair over her shoulder and linked arms with me and Julian. "We have a class to get to."

    I brightened, the class we were heading to was the one before math, meaning I was an hour away from finding out if I got an answer. "Come on!" I pulled June-for once.

    I barely made it through that class, I was fidgeting and constantly glancing at the clock. When the bell rang I was the first out, and I zoomed to math. I sat in my seat and reached under my desk, I felt a paper and I grinned.

Dear Stranger,

I was REALLY shocked to find an answer!

Well it's nice to meet you  ^v^ I always wanted a pen pal too!

Anyways you wanna be called something different

so tell me what. You just keep referring to

me as 'Sticky Note Friend' :D
