Sharon and I search the files until the mid afternoon after every file we could find had been scrutinized. We made decent work today. Finding the roster for the assassins shed some light on things and soon we will have the exact location of the base. Fury lets us know that we will be searching more in here tomorrow. He also tells us of a possible sighting of one of the assassins in Nevada. Apparently she attacked a resort and blew the rooms up, but no reports on who the victims were. We plan on looking into that tomorrow as well.

"I can't believe how quickly this grew," Sharon says.

"I know. We just got done with battling HYDRA and they are already once again at our doorstep."

"It's like a never ending action movie."

I smile at that joke. "It's our job," I respond.

When we part at our apartments, we say good night. Right when I shut the door my phone begins to ring. The number is weird. From Nevada. I begin to worry.

"Hello?" I answer.

"Hi, Steve Rogers? This is Desert Rose Hospital in Nevada. We have a friend of yours here. I don't know if you heard about the attack on the resort. A lot of people were injured including your friend. She's still not woken up, but we found her ID and knew exactly who to call."

"M-my friend?"

"Yes. A Natasha Romanov?"

Nat. "Oh! Okay! Yes I know her. Thank you so much for contacting me. Is she all right?"

"She has not woken up from the explosion yet, and she's a little beaten up, but she looks good. Nothing too serious, but we need someone to come and get her."

"I'll hit the road right away then. Thank you."

"You're welcome. I'll expect you here in the next couple days, and I'll call you in case anything comes up."

"All right. Thanks." I hang up.

I can't believe Nat was in that attack. Now I know why they went to that resort. I hope nothing happens while I'm on the road. I need her to stay in one place.

I gather a few essentials and put them in a bag. Clothes. Toothbrush. Bathroom stuff. Food. I need to get going now. I get anything else I might need and hurry out the door.

I pause for a moment. Should I tell Sharon? I might need to let her know that I found her. I knock.

"Hey, Steve, what's going on?"

"I found her. She's in some hospital in Nevada. Apparently she was in the attacks and she got hurt."

"Doesn't sound like her. Do you know what exactly happened?"

"No but I plan on asking as soon as I get there and she wakes up. I gotta go. Tell Fury, please!"

Sharon nods probably still wondering what just happened. I quickly head down the stairs and to my car. I look up the directions and drive off.

How did this happen? Natasha never goes down like this. I wonder if memories of the Red Room got to her or something. It seems so unlike her to let emotions like this get to her during a fight. I worry about this throughout the whole driv
