I don't usually like children, but the Red Room broke Rebekah so easily, I came to like her very easily. I promised her she would always be my sestra. My sister.

"Miss Natasha, will I see you lots?" Rebekah asks.

"I promise I will visit you every few days. At least twice a week unless I'm on a mission. I'll tell you what, if I'm away for more than a week without any contact, I'm either on a mission or..." I stop myself. I can't say "dead" to her after all we went through.

"Okay." She sits quietly.

"Hey, promise me something. Never let the Red Room get to you," I say gently.

"It was scary. Did you go through it? You looked like a lot of the girls who trained me."

"Yeah, I went through the program. It was very scary." It's hard to admit that to an eight-year-old. "But I'm glad you won't have to go through everything I did."

When we pull into the place, I notice it looks like a very nice house. Fury and I walk up to the door. I have Rebekah in my arms. We enter, and Fury explains what happened and how we came across Rebekah. I put her down and help her fill out all the information we can. I ask that they contact me if she has an emergency or anything serious pops up. They allow me to write my name and number on the back as an emergency contact.

"Rebekah, I'm putting my phone number on the back of this. If you're in any danger or have an emergency, they will call me, and I'll come for you," I tell her.

I get a nod in response. I help Rebekah get settled in, and soon it's time to leave.

"Are you going to be okay, Rebekah?" I ask.

"Yes. I'll be okay," she says smiling. She walks over and hugs me. "Thank you, Miss Natasha. Thank you, sestra."

"You're welcome, little Rebekah. I'll see you soon. I promise."

With that Rebekah turns around and walks towards a library where other little girls sit. I know she will be okay as I watch her. I turn and walk back with Fury to his van. He drives me back to the hospital where the rest of the Avengers wait for us.

"Finally! There you are," Stark says. "Orders, Fury?"

"Well at this point wait for more orders. I have a few notifications about an upcoming mission. I'll keep you guys posted. For now, go home." Fury drives off.

"Well, I'll see you guys later. Pepper and I have a date," Stark says. He's gone too.

The Avengers part awkwardly, unsure of how much downtime we have. Steve and I head to his car, but we don't go home. I have no idea where he is going until he pulls into a car dealership. I swat at his arm.

"Are we really doing this now?" I ask grinning slyly. We get out together and look around. I decide on a nice black BMW. After hours upon hours of paperwork, the car is mine. I'm happy to have my own car again.

"Thanks for taking me, Steve," I tell him as we walk through the parking lot.

"No problem, Nat. Hey, before you go, I want to ask you something."

"What is it?"

"You remember that list you helped me with?"

I smile. "Yeah."

"Will you help me with it?" he asks holding my waist gently.

I nod. "Yes." He kisses me.

"Let's leave tomorrow morning," he whispers.

"Okay," I whisper back.
