I fly my helipad solo. I don't even detect them with this technology. This is good. That means HYDRA can't detect them. I am alone. As I fly, I disable my communications. Fury told me to in order to ensure maximum safety.
My mind wanders as I continue on my journey. I think of Steve a lot. I want to build on our relationship once we survive this. If we survive this. I shake the thoughts out of my head. Never think like that, Natasha. I remember talking with an instructor back in the Red Room. I remember asking her, "What if I fail?" I remember her answer. "You never fail." I will not fail. We will not fail. We'll be okay.
I think about the new little girls they got. I wonder how many? How old? Have they broken them yet? Have any gone through the graduation ceremony? I hope they have not gotten far.
After hours of flying, I find the mountains in Siberia. I know I am getting close. I know I will get there in a couple hours. I flip on one communications switch. One that is made to reach bases on the ground. The signal will not reach and of the other helipads.
After a few more hours I begin to lower. The speakers crackle. They are trying to communicate.
"This is Tower One. Who is on this aircraft?" a Russian voice asks.
"Tower One this is Black Widow. Natalia Romanova," I say using my full Russian name.
"Natalia Romanova. We weren't expecting you," the voice says slyly.
"Yes, well, if you don't shoot me out of the sky, I'll be able to explain if you just let me in. I need to speak to Ashley Porter."
"All right. You'll be escorted to her by two guards. Land on the lighted space."
I smile. I'm in. I see the green flashing lights that form a circle. That must be the landing pad. I bring the helipad down safely, and exit. Four guards dressed in camo with guns and a HYDRA emblem wait for me when I step onto the ground.
"Miss Natalia Romanova?" one with glasses asks.
I nod. Glasses nods at two guards with long, jet black beards who enter the helipad probably to search it for any other people. They come out with a clean report. Glasses motions for me and a guard with a septum piercing to follow.
"We'll be taking you to Captain Porter now," Septum Piercing says.
I nod. I show no emotion. No fear. Nothing. Just like they taught me. I run through the plan in my head again. The Avengers and troops should be here in about two and a half hours. They went significantly slower than me on purpose to give me time to explore and get through any security I needed to.
We stop in front of an office. The guard knocks, and I hear a familiar voice say "Voyti." Enter. We step into the office. It has a desk, many weapons, chairs, and papers. The HYDRA emblem decorates the back wall. Ashely wears a similar black leather suit like mine. Hers has the HYDRA emblem on the right side of her chest.
"Well, well, well. Natalia Alianovna Romanova. About time you showed up. Why keep me waiting?" Ashley asks.
I have had this lie in my head and have been practicing it for a while. I tell her I ran off because I needed to escape the Avengers. I was planning on leaving the resort soon, but plans were derailed. The Avengers found me again, so I stole a helipad and flew off. By myself. Ashley was supposed to be the hardest to lie to, but she believed my story so easily. She probed me with questions, but I knew exactly how to answer to make my story believable.
After I managed to cover up my lie in every way possible, Ashley took me on a tour of the new HYDRA facility and the new Red Room. She showed me where male soldiers trained, the women assassins trained, where everyone worked, and the new little girls- or girl. So far they only had one little girl about eight or nine years old. I got to watch her shoot. She is not very good, and she is already looking broken. Ashley says she has been here for about a year now.
The last thing she shows me is the computer room. That's where all the surveillance and everything is powered. If the base is attacked guards will come in here and power guns. I look at the clock. The Avengers should be here any minute. I look at the camera and see a small black dot. That must be the helicopters.
"What is tha-" Ashley starts but I kick her in the head. She fights me back but loses easily. I knock her out and tie her up where her legs are over her head and arms far away from each other across her chest. I break her ankles and also gag her for when she wakes up. I can't kill her. I won't go back to that.
The door was closed, so nobody sees. I get on the computer and hack the surveillance and any defenses. HYDRA is officially open. I hear then guns. I hear explosions. I grab some of my own and run out there pretending to fight with HYDRA. I see the helicopters land and the fight begins.
