Chapter 20- Sunk

Mal POV

We all watched Evie go overboard, and Chad looked shocked.

"Woman overboard!" Beast yelled out.

We all looked down into the water and didn't see her anywhere. Without thinking I started to climb over the railing, but Ben pulled me back.

"What are you doing?" Ben asked me.

"I may not know how to swim, but I can't let my best friend drown." I said. I got over the railing and so did Jay and Carlos. I let got and fell into the water.

Evie POV

I tried to get back to the surface, but the waves by the ship pulled me into the water. I couldn't see anything, and I thought I was going to drown.

Maybe I deserve this. This is probably a punishment for not being with a prince.

I waved out my arms, before feeling someone grab them.

Ben POV

I looked down to see Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos coming up from the water. The ship took some time to stop, but they kept going into the water. When they didn't come up, I quickly took off my shoes.

"We're coming too." I looked to see Audrey, Jane, and Doug beside me. We climbed over the railing and looked back. Everyone watched. We let go and fell in the water.

I looked around and saw Mal slowly sinking. She was holding Evie's and Jay's hand and Carlos was hold Evie's other hand.

Jane grabbed Carlos's free hand and Audrey got a hold of Jay's hand. I wrapped my arms around Mal's body and Doug did the same with Evie.

We swam up to the surface and saw that four ring life preservers were coming down. We each grabbed one, still holding onto one of the VKs. When we got into one, they pulled us all back onto the ship.

We all got back deck, wet and cold. I looked at Mal, who wasn't breathing. I pressed on her chest. Jane, Doug, and Audrey did the same. I did mouth to mouth and repeated the process. Soon enough, Mal cough out the water, and so did Evie, Jay and Carlos.

"Thank goodness you're okay!" I said. I hugged Mal and she breathed rapidly.

Evie looked at Chad, and looked away. Mal got up and stumbled a little.

"Mal, let me help you." I said, while holding onto her hand.

"No! Just leave us alone!" She yelled out. Mal walked away, and Evie, Jay and Carlos followed her, while everyone backed away.

"I fear something like this will happen, their anger getting the best of them." My father said.

"This isn't their fault!"

"No, son. It's yours." He turned around and my mom looked back at me. They walked away, and I stood their.

Everyone watched at what happened, and Jane, Audrey and Doug stayed by me.

I have to fix this. They changed, I can see that.

Mal POV

We all went to mine and Evie's room and got dried off. I couldn't believe that Chad, pushed her overboard and didn't even apologize.

"Are we go on with the plan?" Jay asked.

"They already saw what happened when I let my anger out. They'll be worried about the rest of us." Evie said.

"Maybe they'll never accept us." Carlos said.

"They'll never see us as one of them!" I bursted out, while looking out the window. "All they see when they look at are the next generation of evil!" I breathed and looked back at them.

"Let's grab that wand and blow this popsicle stand."

A/N- I plan on writing the 4th book to the Forgotten Auradon series, then write Descendants and the Titanic in the movie universe.
