Chapter 5- Magic Wand Break In

Evie POV

Ben left me and Mal alone so we could get settled in. I looked into my mirror, wondering if there were more princes on the ship. I already met one, Prince Chad Charming Junior, and all I needed to know was that he was the perfect prince.

"Evie, let's go with the guys. We have to talk about how were going to get the wand" Mal said, getting my full attention. I followed her, and we looked at a map of the Titanic, going to the boys dorm.

When we finally made it and opened the door, Carlos was playing a video game, and Jay was going through 'his' stuff.

"Hey, Jay what are you doing?" Mal asked as she walked up to him.

"It's a thing called stealing. It like buying whatever I want, except it's free." He answered. I looked at Carlos, who was battling some evil trolls in the game.

"Die, suckers!" Carlos yelled out with a small laugh.

"Can I try?" I asked. He paused the game and looked at me.

"You , a beauty-obsessed girl, want to play 'Into The Enchanted Forest'?"

"Yeah, is there a problem with that?"

"No, it's just that I never thought that you'd be interested in this."

"Just give me a controller." He handed me one and added a new player.

Mal and Jay watched us play, but I was focused on the game trying to defeat the enemy. Right when we were about to go the next level, the TV went blank. We all turned to the see Mal holding the cord.

"Why did you do that?! We were just about to go to the next level!" Carlos yelled out.

"We can do all of this later, after we take over the world, don't you see! This our one chance, to prove ourselves to our parents!" We became quiet, and stared at her. "To prove that we are evil, and vicious, ruthless, and cruel. Yeah?"

We all nodded in agreement. I didn't want to disappoint my mother in finding a prince and live in Auradon. I suppose it was the same for everyone else. Jay didn't want to disappoint his father in bring him the gold, Carlos wanted to make his mother proud for once, and Mal want to prove to her mom that she could be the next Maleficent.

Mal took out the map of the Titanic, and set it on the table. We gathered around, but Carlos quickly plugged in the game.

"We know where the wand is, but we have to figure out how to avoid the security cameras." Mal explained.

"I already hacked into the cameras, and I can shut them down from here." Carlos explained. He pulled out a laptop, and it showed all the cameras that were on the ship. He quickly typed on the keyboard and all the cameras that were watching the wand went off.

"Great now let's get the the wand and take one of the life boats to get back to the Isle." Mal quickly went to the door and looked around. When it all looked clear, she motioned us to follow her. Jay and I followed her, but I looked back to see Carlos still playing the game.

"Carlos!" I whispered. He looked at me, paused the game, grabbed his coat and his laptop, and ran out the door.

Mal POV

We made our way to where the wand was held. All the doors were closed, and security guards were circling the halls. We hid in the shadows, making sure that we weren't seen.

We finally made it to the wand, where it was behind the doors. I tried to open them, but they were locked. At the corner of my eye, a smallshadow, and we froze in place.

"Mal, what do we do?" Carlos asked.

I grabbed my spell book out of my jacket, looking for the right page. When I finally found it, I focused on what to do.

"Make it easy, make it quick, open up without a kick." I whispered. The doors unlocked, and we all quickly went in, and closed the doors.

Through the windows, we saw a security guard shine his flashlight in the room. We slid down the door, hoping we won't get caught. He eventually left, and we waited until everything was clear.

Carlos opened his laptop, and all the security cameras appeared, other than the ones that're by the wand display. We all looked at the wand. Jay was about to reach it, but I tried to stop him.

"Jay, don't!" I quietly yelled out. He looked at me and smiled. He got closer to the wand. "Jay, don't do it, no!"

Right when he was about to get the wand, a force field kept him from getting it. Jay was pushed back and a loud siren blared through the room.

"Security cameras, a force field and a siren?" Carlos yelled out, while all of us covered our ears, trying to ignore the sound.

"That's a little too much for a wand." Jay grunted as he got his strength back.

Carlos looked at his laptop, and at the doors. "The guards are coming and the doors are protected by a force field when Jay tried to grab the wand!"

I couldn't think, mostly because the alarm distracted me. We heard loud footsteps coming our way, and I looked around. When I looked toward the wall near the ceiling, there was a big enough air vent that all of could fit.

"Jay, help me get to that." I quickly said, while pointing to the air vent. He went to the wall and gave me a boost. I opened the vent and motioned everyone to get in.

Evie went in first, then me, and Jay. Carlos put in his laptop first and we saw the security guards by the doors. Carlos jumped, only getting half of himself in.

"A little help please." He whispered. Jay grabbed his hands and started pulled Carlos slowly started  in. His red gloves slowly started to slide off, and the alarms went off.

"Hurry. They already disabled the security system and they're already unlocking the doors." Carlos said. Jay pulled harder and Carlos finally got in. Right when the doors unlocked, Carlos closed the air vent.

We were all quiet, not making any noise as the guards looked in the room. When it was all clear, the doors closed and were locked.

"Now what?" Evie asked. I crawled past her and tried to see anything in front of me.

"Jay, do you have a flashlight?" I asked. Knowing him, Jay always comes prepared, mostly because he could have almost anything in his pockets.

He handed me a flashlight and I led us all through the maze we were in. We went right and left, straight and back, but we eventually found an air duct going upward. Jay helped us all get through and we crawled out of a tube in the navy of the ship.

"Great job, Jay." I said as we ran back to our dorms. "Now we have to go to school tomorrow."
