Jane POV
Everyone went to the back of the ship. I was holding onto Carlos's hand, and I was holding Jay's hand with the other. We stopped near the stairs going down the deck and looked back to the water.
"We have to stay on the ship as long as possible!" Ben yelled out. We all ran as fast as we could, but the crowd made it a bit difficult to move fast. We all finally made it to the railing and the small crowd of remaining passengers tried to hold onto anything.
I looked out to the water, seeing the lifeboats rowing away. We all wrapped our arms around the railing as the ship tilted more and more. Dude was whimpering and I breathed heavily.
"Jay," Audrey said while looking into his eyes. "This is where you saved me."
The ship sank more and we held on tighter. The lights turned off, and most panicked. The only provided was the moon. The ship soon started to snap, and it immediately spit in two.
The back of the ship went back into the water and made a giant splash. Some calmed down for a bit, but then it started to go up again. Ben started to go over the railing to the other side.
"Come on! Get over the railing!" He yelled out.
He helped us all go over the railing and the ship was soon straight up again. The ship was still for a moment, and everything seemed calm. Some lost grip and fell into the water.
"What's happening?" I asked in a frightened voice.
"I don't know." Carlos answered. The ship started to slowly go straight down into the water, and I felt so scared.
"The ship will suck us down." Ben yelled out. "When I say, hold your breath." I got closer to Carlos, and held his hand tightly.
"Whatever you do, don't ever let go. Kick to the surface when we're underwater. Trust me."
"I trust you." Mal yelled out.
We got to the water and I got more and more scared. Carlos looked at me, and he squeezed my hand.
"Now!" I took a deep breath and the next thing I knew, we were pulled deep into the water.
