Up There is Where You'll Find Me

This ragged earth cannot hold me any longer.
These faded shores cannot contain,
The searching mountains cannot reach any farther,
And the vast deserts call my name.

Nothing in this earth can find me,
No person place or thing.
I am a mystery dwelling up there among the place where the birds take wing.

They may get a glimpse some day of my foot prints in the sky,
The children will see my trail and follow close behind.
For among the clouds and starry night
I find a glorious symphony
So when they ask where I have gone,
Up there is where you'll find me.
