She was a soul weighed down.
A soul cast out from a world
that she was not even a part of.
She was a girl that was lonely
a one and only in her mind.
Her condemnation a secret that could shatter so many worlds and the night sky
in the blink of an eye.
She was a soul weighed down by
many thoughts,
owned a spine so bent with the burden of them, with the responsibility of taking them captive and writing them down.
Yet her burden was her freedom,
pain, and remedy wrapped in words
and bound by another spine
that held so much more of her
than her body ever could.
Her pages were filled with years of her,
and they were heavy and at times spilled over with the blood, sweat, and tears of her.
All that she had left of offer
to a world that no longer listened. But when she laughed.
She laughed.
She let out every frustration in her laughter, even with the crosses
that she was carrying,
still able to find happiness in places
and light in faces.
Knowing that if she did not laugh,
she would cry,
and scared that if she started crying
she would not stop until she was hollow,
empty of every thing,
sorrow and whatever followed.
She knew that she was weak
and that if she cried
her thoughts and emotions
would not be strong enough
to endure the tide of waves
that would stream from her eyes.
So she did not care who heard.
Let their ears catch the sound
and behold her strength,
yes she was weary,
and utterly shaken,
but she was laughing
and not forsaken.
SKA/N: Gonna be really honest.
This one is about me.
