Day 5: let the violence began

Jessie Mellark's P.o.v

Day five in the arena and only a few tributes are dead.

Nine tributes to be exact.
I wonder how long these games will last.

"Tributes as you all know yesterday you've all received a gift of some sort."The head Gamemaker Diamond announced.

"You must all head to the castle for a feast!"She screeched.

I sigh so much for a normal sponsor gift.

My partners Rue Flower and Spencer Hawthorne are looking at me like I'm supposed to do something, since when was I leader of the group?

My new pet cheetah which I named Dream is looking at me with its adorable eyes, Rue's puppy which she named Princess is following my cheetah.

"Let's head to the castle!"Spencer exclaimed.

"Be ready for a fight."I muttered.

We walk through the forest heading towards the castle when we hear a crunch in the bushes behind us.

My eyes widen in shock my district partner is stuck in a net with Richard Lushington standing over him.

I reach for an arrow ready to aim it at Richard, but he expected it, he flicks his spear in my direction grazing my side. He throws another spear at Thresh hitting him in the stomach, I growl in anger this time I won't miss my target. My bow is ready and I aim the arrow for Richards death. His cannon goes, I rush over to Thresh my eyes full of sadness.

"Don't be sad."Thresh muttered.

"Your my district partner!"I exclaimed.

Thresh just nods before he breaths his last breath. Boom.

Me , Spencer and Rue take Thresh's and Richard's supplies before heading towards the castle once more.

Once we near the castle I speed up a bit.

I open the huge door and three bells chime telling the other tributes that tributes have arrived. I see a huge board showing the tributes names, a check mark is shown next to the people already here.

"Rue, we have to be careful!"Spencer yells as Rue walks ahead carelessly.

"Could you be any louder."A small voice mutters behind me, it's Daisy.

"Why are you following my group?"I ask.

"I didn't know the way to the castle and my partner is dead."Daisy said her beautiful blue eyes full of tears.

Another bell rang and I saw Violet Hotchner appear on the list of names.
Everyone is here except for the district five female Eve.

I feel a strange pressure and before I know it I fall into blackness.

I wake up in a dark room three other tributes are there with me.
The district five girl Eve, the district ten boy Jack and the district eleven female Violet. There's a huge sign saying only two of us in this room can survive.

"So let the violence began."Eve growled grabbing a knife from the floor.

"Your to late."Violet said throwing a knife into Eve's back with an evil smile.

I notice Jack looks extremely nervous, he grasps Violet around the neck and starts to strangle her. I won't need to fight if this continues. Eve is almost dead. Her cannon goes. Only one more in this room has to die.

Violet and Jack start to fight there's a bunch of blood and then I aim an arrow at Violet. Another cannon goes she's dead. Me and Jack get to leave this room.

Rue's P.o.v
I'm locked in a room with the district one female and district two female.
There's a sign saying only one of us can live. I know I won't win against them. The district two girl leaps at me with a knife in her hand a spark of joy is in her murderous eyes.

"We'll hello district four."Clove snarled.

"Please don't kill me!"I cry my eyes full of worry I have to try. I get up slowly and reach for a rock I have to try.

"Your pathetic!"Clove snarled throwing a knife right at my spine.

I cough up blood and mutter one word, Jessie.

My body slowly stops and then my breathing ends. Boom.
