Lacey

I woke up Saturday morning with memories of the night before flooding back to me. Some were extraordinarily good like meeting Aaron, I smile at that. He was so sweet and charming, I hope how I left didn't leave a bad impression, I thought as I got out of bed and remembered why I had left him so suddenly, poor Leo.

-"wake up sleepy head"-

I message Elisha, she promised to spend the day with me especially with practice and tour coming up.

{BEEP} {BEEP}

-"Im up, heading your way in 30, do you know what's wrong with Leo. He didn't seem like his normal self this morning."-

-"I'll tell you when you get here. Last night was crazy after you left. See you in 30"-

{BEEP} {BEEP}

-"😕 ok"-

I didn't like leaving Elisha

hanging like that but I'd feel bad if I sent it all as a text.

Elisha was upset but neither of us liked Melody from the beginning.

"That's just so..," she was too frustrated with what I told her that her words weren't forming sentences.

"I know," I agreed with her.

"Poor Lee," she concluded.

"Yeah," I agreed again.

"So on happier topics what happened with the guy last night? I saw y'all talking the entire time I was there and you were so cheesed out," she teases.

"Um, Aaron, yeah he's cool, gonna take it slow though," I admit.

"Oh? Would this have something to do with Junior?" Elisha asks.

I nod in agreement. "He already has a deadbeat father and I thought he was the one. I need to be careful of who I bring into his life, I can't play the fool again, there's too much at stake now," I address firmly.

"I totally agree and admire you for such strong will power," Elisha said proudly before wilting.

"Hey what's wrong?"

"Nothing, it's just I wish I was that strong, I mean goodness you saw me last night. I was all over him when I know I shouldn't be," she sighed.

"Wait we're talking about Kelly?"

She nodded.

"Well I don't get it, it's not like you had sex with him last night and you weren't acting like a groupie like Melody, how are you not strong?" I asked confused at what made her upset.

"You remember the contract, we aren't suppose to be getting that close," she explained.

"What about the other girls, they sure were acting like there was no contract. Shoot, the guys weren't stopping them neither," I said trying to defend her actions.

"Lead by example, Lacey. I mean gosh I just started in this industry I don't wanna threaten it already," Elisha said on the verge of tears.

"Then do something about it," I simply state bluntly, which caught her off guard.
