Bridget
"Here we have with us the lucky ladies that get to go on tour with B5, now would you please give the listeners your name, hometown, age and a little something about yourself," the male radio host announced into his mic.
"Sure, I'll go first, I'm Samantha from Atlanta, Georgia age 23 and I wouldn't consider us lucky more like talented and blessed" the rest of the girls agree into our mics.
"Hi listeners, I'm Bridget from all over, Army brat, technically from New York and I am also 23," I try to say all professional like.
"I'm Latasha, from Pensacola, Florida, I just made 22."
"And lastly," the host says pointing to Elisha.
"Hey y'all out there, I'm Elisha, from New Orleans, Louisiana and I'm the baby of the girls I'm 21," she says. That's most likely gonna be her intro for awhile.
"Finally legal," the female host jokes.
"Yup that's right," Elisha laughs.
"Thank y'all for joining us," the male host says.
"Thank you for inviting us," Sam replies.
"Alright lets get down to it how did you hear about the dance auditions to go in tour with B5?" He asks.
"I heard it from my Dance Agency," Samantha answers.
"Me too," Latasha agrees.
"Well me and Elisha are big fans of the boys and saw it on there twitter, a little after they posted the Say Yes video on Youtube," I inform him.
"We all are fans of the boys it's just I hadn't heard anything about them after their second album," Latasha adds.
"You two said you work for Dance Companies how long have you all been professional dancers?"
"Six years," Samantha easily responds.
"Two almost three years," Latasha tries to calculate.
"One year," I answer.
"Hm, what you guys say, three weeks," Elisha asks us.
"Yeah that sound about right," I agree.
"Wait really, three weeks? How that work," the female reiterates.
"Well B5 is my first professional gig, I just graduated from college and no agency showed any interest in me so three weeks," Elisha elaborated.
"Wow, there you have it folks, all it takes is talent," the male host interjects.
"Yup, and hard work and dedication," Elisha adds.
"Where are you from again," the male host continues to interview Elisha.
"New Orleans, came to Atlanta right before Katrina and moved out here with the fam right after."
"So when do you get to New Orleans?"
"In about two weeks, and I'm really excited to perform in my hometown."
"The full tour is on B5's website, for those of you really curious of when they hit your city," the female host plugs for us.
"So who's your favorite?" We all glance at each other knowingly.
"We all have different opinions of the guys but we love them all equally," I easily say, I had been thinking about that question for awhile.
"Were you guys prompt to say that, cuz I heard rumors from fans and other girls that auditioned for the tour that there was a specific type of contract signed between you and B5 tell us about that," the female host asked well intrigued.
"We did have to sign a contract but you tell us what else you heard and we'll tell you if it's true," Samantha evasively said, we can't give them anything, so says our publicist. We can only agree or disagree.
"Alright, hm in the contract you can't date B5," the Hostess stated.
"That's true," I admit.
"Wow, that's interesting, any of y'all having trouble sticking to the contract," she continues to egg on with the questioning.
All the girls laugh.
"Naw, at first I thought it was stupid, like why get so strict about our love lives? And why would I even think about really dating a B5 member? When I really thought about it though, I'm glad there were set boundaries to keep this tour professional," Latasha explains.
"Plus it keeps the atmosphere between all of us light and fun, I mean can you imagine if one of us was dating Dustin, let it be known that he is definitely a flirt and all of his fan girls are known to hit on him; if there's jealousy on tour there would never be an end to it," Sam continues.
"It might even ruin the chemistry on stage and the dance moves wouldn't look right," Elisha tags in.
"And we're only here to dance and if we can't do that right what are we there for?" I tag on also.
"Nothing and we'd be fired,"Sam finished off.
It was as if we had rehearsed everything we had said, but mainly we hadn't. We've just had talks about these topics before. When you have certain things in common you tend to talk about them. We made a pact not to talk about the almost relationships that were going on before tour even started though. If we did we would have some pretty threatened fan girls on our hands.
...
"Well that was," I search for a word to describe our first interview.
"You guys did great," Jim assured us.
We all expressed our relief that it was over in nervous giggles, head shaking, or sighs.
"The guy seemed to keep picking on you though, Elisha," Patrick said from the center of the group as we walked the parking lot from the radio station.
"Yeah I found that strange," she responded followed by a chorus of agreement from the group.
"It was obvious he was flirting with her," Samantha matter-of-factly noted. She seemed to be the know it all of all of us and had yet to be proven wrong.
"Naw, you think?" Latasha questioned enthusiastically.
"Maybe," Elisha said pondering. "When the interview was over did he ask for any of y'all Instagrams?"
There was an uproar from the girls that confirmed the theory.
"Well that proves it," I said shaking my head.
"He was cute though," Latasha chimes. Elisha giggles at the statement.
"And young," Samantha added.
"So what do ya think?" I ask Elisha as we hop into the tour bus.
"IDK, he was cute but we'll see where it goes, if it goes anywhere."
"Well that's one point for E, zero for the rest of the B5ettes," Bryan says way too into our conversation.
"Okay A why does it have to be a competition, and two B5ettes? Really?" I ask him.
"Really does two come after A?" was his smartallic reply.
"Wait what," I asked confused.
"Exactly," he said confidently and the rest of the group snickered or tried to hide their amusement on my behalf.
