A/N: Just in case you don't remember, the story was left off when Jennifer told Anna that they needed to talk.

I gulp and sit on the stool. Here it comes, I think as Jennifer pulls up a chair facing me.

She finally talks after a long moment. "I'm sorry," she sighs and looks at the countertop.

I decide I can't let her go so easily. "Yeah, you better be, after all those years. I always wanted to say I have two siblings, instead of one, but I couldn't. Because you were invisible. You didn't care about my feelings, or even Kai's. You just wanted to live your little farming fantasy and escape reality," I gasp for breath after my angry rant.

Jennifer nods solemnly. "You're completely right. I should have taken responsibility and at least explained things to you and Kai, but I was too caught up in my own problems to think about anyone else. If I could go back in time and fix things, I would do it in an instant. But the damage was already done, and I learned to just live with it over the years instead of at least try to make it better. And as time passed by, I became too afraid to come in contact with you, fearing that you would hate me for leaving. And I was the one to convince mom to force you to stay here with me, so you couldn't run away," Jennifer admits sheepishly.

I shake my head. "I can't just forgive you for all the years I spent alone, with no sister to share my life with."

"Yes, and I promise you will someday, because I will make it up to you," She lets out a small smile.

I get up from my seat. "Okay, we'll see." And with that, I calmly walk upstairs to finish my homework.

After I change into my ratty clothes, I trudge to Logan's room to meet him before afternoon torture.

Logan opens the door fully dressed and ready to go before I can knock. He chuckles at my facial expression. "You look excited," he jokes.

"Yeah, as excited as a rocket on fire,"  I roll my eyes.

Two hours later, all animals are fed and watered and all bedding is replaced. Logan and I are draped over a pile of haystacks, too exhausted to move a finger. The chickens peck at the ground around us while the horses happily munch on alfalfa hay, creating a soothing peacefulness around us.

"Hey, you want to go to the animal auction with me tomorrow?" He mumbles, half asleep.

I turn on my brain for half a second. Tomorrow is Saturday, so there is no school. "Yeah, sure," I reply.

After a quick sit-down lasagna dinner, I escape to my room to make my normal calls to Chloe and Kai before deciding to call Amber. She picks up on the second ring.

"Hello?" She says.

"Hey Amber, it's Anna!" I spin around in my office chair.

"Oh, hi! What's up?"

"I was wondering if you were going to some animal auction tomorrow, because Logan and I are going and I thought-"

"Sure! I was thinking of going anyways," She interrupts, squealing. "I'll call Melissa and the boys, we will come to your place at noon!"

"Uh, okay, I guess... hello?" The line went dead, for Amber had already hung up to make her promised calls.

Well, that was easy, I think before I roll out my beloved hot pink yoga mat to do bedtime yoga.
