After three long months of writer's block, I am proud to announce.....
It's gone!
<3 Happy Valentine's Day, everybody!

"Hey, Anna, what are you gonna do now that you're all popular and stuff?" Brandon asks, looking up from his homework. Brandon, Kevin, Amber, Logan, and Melissa crowd around the breakfast nook table after school, homework papers scattered all around. Jennifer had made her famous gooey chocolate chip cookies, which seem to be our fuel throughout the torturous afternoon.
I smile and shrug. "Just live in the moment while it lasts, I guess."
My five friends all stop and stare up from their homework. "Uhhh... am I missing something?" I ask when they all start to grin.
"Oh, Anna, this is the perfect opportunity to be on the dance committee!" Amber squeals. The other four nod their heads.
"Wait a second... did you say dance committee!?" I exclaim. That is one thing about me: I do not do charity work. I just enjoy the results. Why work when you don't have to?
Logan nods his head. "Of course. It's a good way to prove you're worthy of all your fame."
If you think that would convince me, you're wrong.
"Awww, come on Anna! All of us are on the dance committee except for you!" Brandon coaxes.
"Please?" Melissa begs.
Ugh. I have never resisted peer pressure past the point of 2 minutes. You could say that is my only weakness. "Fine. But don't expect me to do any work. Or even be enthusiastic about this whole thing.
"
"Great!" Kevin says in his British accent. The two boys high five each other and rise from their chairs. The girls do the same.
"Uh.. where are you going?" I ask.
"Home!" They say in unison.
"So you were here for five hours just to get me on the dance committee!?" I fumed.
"Pretty much," Brandon calls out while opening the front door. "Bye!" And with that, my four new friends dashed out the door as Logan shakes his head and chuckles.
"You knew about this?" I turn to him, frowning.
He raises his hands above his head in surrender. "I only do what's best for you, sista."
I roll my eyes as I head up to my room. "I can't believe you."
In the safety of my own bedroom, I whip out my beloved iPhone and start texting Chloe. It seems like she is the only one I can spill my guts to these days.
Hay Chloe :D
Hey I was wondering when you would bother to text me.. where have u been 4 2 weeks!? :( PS I never thought id see the day you were making farm jokes
it was funny, okay? jeez
Whatever.
Guess wut I just did
Wut
Joined the dance committee.
yr joking right?
No.
OMG WHY DID U DO THAT
Don't ask
Yr crazy... hey guess who I bumped into today at school? :*
And with that, Chloe launches into a rant about her new crush for two hours.
------Two hours later-------
I glance at my phone screen while yawning. 1:56. I guess all that texting really burned a lot of calories. I hop off my bed and tiptoe down the stairs, hoping I won't wake anybody. When I get to the freezer and open the door, I am relieved to find a big tub of ice-cream screaming "eat me!"
So that is what I plan to do. I grab the tub and a spoon and head to the living room, where the T.V. awaits me. What a life...
And why is the TV on already?
"AUGH!!!" I scream and clutch my ice-cream as I sit on the breathing couch. And apparently it talks, too.
"Ugh..." I squint my eyes. Of course. I just had to sit on a sleeping Logan. "Jeez, Anna, can't a handsome boy sleep without getting suffocated by a girl?"
I blush while pouting. "You shouldn't sleep on public property, then. If you're gonna sleep, go to your room," I scold while pointing upstairs with my spoon.
"Heyyy I want ice-cream, too!" Logan eyes the tub.
"Fine. Only if you scoot." Logan smiles charmingly and scoots over on the couch. I return back to the kitchen to get another spoon. When I get back, Logan is half-asleep already.
I cuddle in next to his warm body and lean on his shoulder before he jolts awake. "Where am I?" He looks around.
Rolling my eyes, I shove a spoon of ice-cream in his mouth.
We end up watching Jeopardy! until the sun starts to rise.
----
I open one eye into a stream of sunlight as I adjust my sleeping position on top of the slowly breathing boy underneath me. I love Saturdays.
Wait...
Thump. I do a flip off the couch and stare at a now half-awake Logan.
"Good morning," he mumbles, then turns onto his stomach and dozes off once again.
I stand up only to step on a sticky spoon, reminding me of yesterday's events. Oh yeah. I walk into the bathroom, only to see a monster staring back at me. Okay, that might be a great song title, but it is definitely not good in reality.
My hair is looks like a beehive and my lipstick has somehow made it up the side of my face. I could totally play a zombie in an apocalypse movie.
Yeah, not a good thing.
I quickly run upstairs to fix myself, only to run into a yawning Rob. Literally.
"Oof!" I exclaim breathlessly.
He takes a few steps back and blinks a few times. "Anna is that you? And what happened to your face?"
"Uh.. no time to explain. Bye!" I squeak as I run past him into my room.
----
One and a half hours later, I am back to normal, thanks to an extra-long shower. The only thing that can empty out my razzed brain is a ride, I think while I pull on my riding boots and grab my phone, heading out the door and into the barn.
