XVII

"Spill it!" Says my bestie as she scoops closer with a huge smirk on her face.

"I don't even know how to start..." I say as I blush and look at my hands on my lap.

"Just say what happened..." She says with a soothing tone on her voice.

"Well..." I start to explain what happened the day before yesterday.

*Flashback*

"You look wonderful baby..." Says my mom as she comes to me while I check myself on the mirror. I'm wearing a simple flower printed dress with my flower print vans. I also putted my hair to one side.

"Mom..." I say as I smile shyly. "You're making me more nervous..."

"Oh, sweet heart... It'll be fine..." She says as she involves me in a hug.

As we pull away from our hug the doorbell rings, making me more anxious about this whole thing. I go to the door and take a deep breath before opening it. I shouldn't be nervous, he's just a guy, right? I open the door only to see him facing the other way.

"Um... Hi..." I say as I stand at the door, making him turn around. He looks really nice. He's wearing a grey button up shirt with jeans and black vans. I think he got a hair cut, but it looks good on him.

"Ari, you look really pretty..." He says as he smiles at me.

"Thank you Ash... You look pretty good yourself..." I say as I blush a little and look at the floor.

"Thanks, shall we go?" Says Ashton after waving hello to my mother.

"Yeah..." I say as I start to walk out of my house.

"Is it okay if we walk?" He asks putting his hands on his pockets.

"Yeah, I'm glad I'm wearing vans." I say as I chuckle and so does he.

We keep walking in silence, but it's a comfortable silence. You can only hear our feet hitting the surface or any pebble on the way. On our way we pass several stores, other houses and an ice cream shop. After a while of walking we get to the theater.

"Which movie do you wanna watch?" He asks as we get in the line.

"I don't know... Civil War?" I ask as I shrug my shoulders.

"Okay." He says cheerful.

We get our tickets and our pop corn, him not letting me pay, and then we take a seat.

"Nice choice by the way..." He says as he takes a handful of pop corn and eats it.

"I think Chris Evan's hot..." I say as I chuckle.

"I vote for Scarlet Johansson..." He says as he also chuckles.

The movie starts and we get quiet. He puts his right arm over my shoulder and I can help but smile. We watch the movie and then we leave the theater. It's already night, so I need to go home. Damn it, couldn't time go slower?

"Ice cream?" Asks Ashton as we walk down the street to my house.

"How did you know I wanted ice cream?" I ask as we get inside the shop.

"You were looking when we were heading to the theater this afternoon. So I decided this was the perfect spot to go after the movie." He says as we get to the front desk.

"One cone of vanilla, please..." He says with a smile and then motions me to order.

"Really, vanilla? You could try another flavor..." I say chuckling.

"Just order..." He says winning like a five year old.

"Fine... One cone of cookie dough, please..." I say as Ashton gets his cone of vanilla ice cream and hands the money to pay for both of them.

"Thank you..." We both say as we start to walk to a table, so we can seat there.

As we eat our ice cream cone we talk about us. I learn that he's the oldest of three children, and that his father left when he was two. He tells me about how he got kicked out from his jobs for drumming all the time. I tell him that I have a little sister and that I know how to play guitar. We laugh at some jokes and memes that we found on the Internet.

"Oh my God... Ash... You have ice cream on your nose..." I say between laughs.

"Really?!" He says with a surprised face, but then he smirks. "Well now I won't be the only one." He finishes as he takes a little ice cream from my cone and taps it on my nose.

We both laugh and then clean ourselves up. After finishing our cones we head back to my house. We stop at my porch and I can feel a little bit of awkwardness.

"Tonight was fun..." I say, to break the silence, as I smile at him.

"Definitely..." He says as he smile back.

"I'll see you..." Is say as get the key to open the door.

"Of course..." He says still smiling at me.

We hug each other and then I go inside.

*End of Flashback*

"Oh My God!!" Says Roxy as she squeals.

"Shush girl..." I say as I chuckle at her reaction. "Now you tell me what happened at dinner..."

"Okay." She says as she calms herself down to tell me how her dinner with Calum and her parents was.
