I sighed, glancing at the grandfather clock that stood in the library. Looking into the rows of shelves, Remus was nowhere to be seen.

"Hey Moony, are you almost done in there?" I called. We'd been in here forever. Hearing no response, I groaned and leaned back into the seat, pulling out and twirling my wand.

"He's not here," A quiet voice sounded from behind one of the shelves. Startled, I turned around to see my brother.

"Regulus," I snapped. He came out from the aisle, walking over and standing in front of my table.

"Sirius, hello. I trust you've been well?" The politeness in his tone was similar to that of my voice when I was younger, and not yet broken off from my household. Clearly, Mother and Father were still giving him "gentleman" classes.

"Yeah, whatever. What do you mean, he's not here?" I asked. He rubbed his neck nervously.

"We, er, well, he agreed to get you to the library and leave so that I could talk to you," he admitted. I rolled my eyes.

Of course he did.

"And why is that?" I pointedly asked.

"I need to talk to you about Ashlynn," was his response.

Oh yeah. That.

Rolling my eyes, I lazily pointed my wand at him, gesturing for him to sit.

"I've actually been thinking about that. Remus still wants to talk to her, and it's clear that they'll get themselves into trouble without at least one supporter on each side," I commented, and Regulus nodded fervently.

"Oh, definitely. Ash has clear intentions of continuing their friendship, but she isn't thinking of what could happen if our friends find out," He replied. I raised a brow.

"Why, what would your friends do to her? I thought you guys were her bodyguards or something," I asked, rolling my eyes at the idea of her having bodyguards. He scoffed.

"Them, maybe. I'm just her friend. Anyway, it's not what they would to do her that I worry about. Rather, it's what your friends would do to her. I'd also be worried about my friends hurting Lupin, if I were you," He informed me, causing me to nod before I realized what he had said.

"Wait. You think any of us would hurt her?" I was shocked when he nodded.

"Are you kidding? It's not as if you haven't done anything in the past," he reminded me.

Oh right.

"Well, I guess you have a point. So you're worried about James and Peter. I'm worried about Snape and Malfoy. All we have to do is provide the two time to hang out, and cover for them. Correct?" I continued. He nodded.

"Shouldn't be too hard," he commented. I smirked.

"One last thing."

"Yeah?"

"Remus has this..."

"...crippling love for Ashlynn that he's been ignoring for six years? I know. Ashlynn does too, she just hasn't realized it yet," he finished for me, smirking. I laughed.

"We're totally getting them together," I promised. There was a peaceful silence before I brought up another conversation, hoping to catch up with the brother that wasn't so bad after all.

"So, how're Mother and Father?" I asked, grinning when he grimaced.

"Ugh, don't get me started. You're lucky you got out when you did!"

With that,Regulus and I began to develop the kind of brotherly friendship that we had never had.
