September

"Ashlynn, are you okay?"

"You look awful."

"Oi. Careful what you say about my Girlfriend."

"It's alright. I know, It's just what spending all summer indoors does to a person."

The group gathered in Ashlynn's room, catching up.

"So, what classes does everyone have? We might have some together," Remus pulled out his schedule, as the boys did the same. Ashlynn sighed.

"Unfortunately, my status has been upgraded. I can't leave my room now. My classwork gets sent to me, and I do it and send it back."

The boys groaned.

"Class will be awful without you to give us the answers!" Sirius joked.

And so Hogwarts life went on for the students, and Ashlynn Elmer drifted off of the grid.

The girl was seventeen now, putting her more at risk as she would soon have to leave the sanctuary of the school.

This being the case, Ashlynn practiced defense against the dark arts in her room, preparing to defend herself when she left. But she was losing her strength, and the Marauders could see that.

Along with a loss of hope and energy came the anxiety that Remus didn't want her anymore. It took constant reassurance and kisses to convince her otherwise.

The war was building up outside the walls of Hogwarts, and an inner war was raging within Ashlynn Elmer's mind.
