A/N story is moving along quickly. Two more chapters and an epilogue, and it'll be done.
Graduation- April
The day Ashlynn Elmer graduated was the first day that she stepped outside in more than a year.
Her skin was pale and her face was tired but determined as she sat between James Potter and Remus Lupin on the green.
As the names got called and people were recognized, the seventeen year old girl clutched her boyfriend's hand and waited for it all to be over.
The moment the ceremony was done, the Marauders, Lily Evans, and Ashlynn Elmer retreated to the Headmaster's office.
Then the six of them vanished.
Lily and James went to Godric's Hollow, getting married quietly with their friends there.
Sirius went to the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix, living there.
Remus and Ashlynn lived underground.
Well, figuratively.
The two of them lived in a small apartment that had been charmed invisible, between two floors of the apartment complex that was near the Black Manor.
Peter dropped off the map, showing up every now and then.
But of course, Ashlynn still had her decision, and a tough one at that.
The night eventually came when her mind was made.
She was twenty years old.
A letter had been received, slipped under the door of their invisible home. Remus was out, at an Order meeting.
Ashlynn opened it, clutching her engagement ring as she did so.
The contents of the letter made her blood run cold.
It was time for her to make her decision.
