Sprinting down the hallway, my head was ringing and my heart was threatening to beat out of my chest.
I just kissed Remus Lupin.
Oh, why am I such an idiot? He doesn't like me anyway, I'm not his type; I just barely got his friends to like me.
I skidded to a stop, out of breath, before realizing that I was near the Slytherin common room. Letting myself in, I trudged into Regulus' dorm, knowing he would be there.
"Thanks for knocking," Regulus commented as I fell onto his bed, not looking up from his quidditch catalogue.
"Reg, why is my life such a mess?" I inquired rhetorically, looking at the ceiling. He glanced at me, raising a brow slightly.
"Pardon?"
I rubbed my temples, groaning.
"Every time I like something, I mess it up. For instance, Remus Lupin."
I sat up.
"I kissed him."
At this, Regulus put his magazine down.
"You what?"
I nodded sadly.
"I really fucked up, huh?" I asked despondently. He shook his head.
"No, no, no. You need to get back there, he's gotta see you, you've gotta see his reaction-" I cut him off.
"Excuse me? No, he hates me now."
At this, Regulus spun and shook my shoulders.
"He's bloody in love with you! Just as much as you are in love with him! Now come on!"
With that, I was literally dragged down to to great hall and pushed into a seat next to Remus. When I blushed and got up due to Remus' stare, I was met with a glaring Regulus and pushed back down.
"Stay."
"No."
"Ash-"
"Fine."
And then, Regulus Black left the hall, a smirk on his face. Turning to my plate, I served myself some salad, grumbling to myself.
"Bloody arrogant git, just like his brother, thinks he owns the fucking school, he does-"
"-Hey!" Sirius cried, mock offended, though he was laughing. I turned to Remus, blushing slightly when I saw that he was looking at me.
"Hey."
"Hello!" I chirped, pretending nothing was wrong. He chuckled.
"Let's talk after dinner?" He requested, and I sighed but nodded.
"Alright."
Of course, I managed to avoid doing so when James ran in and tossed me onto his shoulder, screaming about holding me hostage.
Why did I become friends with these idiots?
